Anybody get and beat Zookeeper DS yet?

I ended up picking it up used and its very addicting. It does have some extras on the game that the online "Demo" didnt include.

On normal there are 20 levels and on hard there are 25.

I have yet to try to beat it on the 100 match Tokoton (or whatever) level but has anyone else beat it on that level?

Of those Zookeeper has got the ABSOLUTE MOST playtime. Its so quick and easy to pick up and just plain addicting.
Most people call it a Bejeweled clone. Thats fine but just think of how many people actually sat at their computer just to play Bejeweled. Now imagine that same addictivness on the go! I mean it makes perfect sense.
We just recently picked up Wario and I have yet to give it a real test so I cant comment.

The one I am somewhat interested in looking into is Mr Driller.

There are a lot of differences from their web demo and the actual game.

As well as many different play modes. I have yet to play two player but that looks pretty fun also.

Quest is very hard and I really havent put that much time into it as its almost the luck of the draw with that game and the starting piece configuration.

I agree with Snake. Although the only other games I have are Mario64 and WarioWare Touched, Zoo Keeper gets the vast majority of playtime on my DS. I just can't stop playing the thing. This is exactly the type of game that works well on this system. Now if we can get Meteos over here I'll be in puzzle heaven.

I'll buy Zoo Keeper when it's $20. I was so close to buying it for $40 @ Target, but I stopped myself. $40, even $30 is out of the question for a game that simple.

I think the biggest difference between the web version and the real game is definitely the controls. it is much easier with the stylus.

Mr. Driller DS is a fun game due to the concept itself, not because it has any significant usage of the DS capabilities. (personally, it's pefectly ok for me if a DS game comes out without utilizing the special things extensively, but obviously most people out there want that something special)

welll, I think the $30ish price would be justifiable since it will dominate the playtime on your DS (assuming that you will be addicted, and I think you will). It maybe be simple but we're playing the games for the fun out of it, and this is what zookeeper provides :)

One seemingly minor difference between this and the web version (other than all the extra modes) is that while you can select the two animals to switch, like you do with your mouse online, you can also grab one animal and 'push' it into the other's space and they switch places. Doesn't sound like a big thing, but it just makes playing so much more fluid IMO.

agreed, the dragging is much more efficient than poking the touch screen twice :)

Zoo Keeper is an excellent DS title and the one I have spent the most time on. It is very additive and fun to play. I think the farthest I got in normal mode is about level 15. I beat the first three quests and messed around a little with the other modes.

I paid $30 for my copy and I think it was worth every penny.

To me I think that Zoo Keeper is the overall best game for DS.

Feel the Magic is number 2 on the of list because it is the most orginal and a fun game to play and show off the DS. Orignally the game I spent the most time playing. Have not yet finished because I trying to make it last longer.

Mario would be third but since I've already played it on 64 I have not spent that much time with the DS version I think I have about 5 Stars.

Wario Really is probably number 4 on the list and really uses the DS stylus very well. I've played the first two chapters of the story mode and tried some of the completed mini games over again for fun. $30

Next would be the Metroid Demo which I have completed all levels for and really enjoyed a lot. I think the DS is perfect for FPS games and when the full version of the game comes out it will be the perfect DS title.

Tiger Woods works very well sith the stylus and I was very impressed by the gameplay until I got to putting. I still have not figured out the proper way to put and it makes the game difficult to play. Teeing off and short shots are not and issue but putting gives me headaches. $20

Asphalt GT is one of the most prettiest DS titles but really does not use the stylus at all. Fun game to play but the physics are not the greatest. $20

and finally Mr. Driller is a very fun game but I do not think it uses the stylus properly and I think this takes away from the game experience. If it was a normal GBA game I think it would be perfect as is, but since it is a DS title I was kind of dissappointed in how it worked with the Stylus. $25

The only big problem with the DS is that the games I really consider the best are also very short pick up and play titles except for Mario DS.
I am waiting for them to release a cool adventure, orginal platformer or a RPG. The library for the DS is too small and with the PSP on the horizon the DS better kick it into gear and get some new games released ASAP.

They have it to play anytime you want. Since I have a laptop, I can play it anywhere, making buying the DS version not that good of a choice.

First the boy or wahtever isnt in the DS version. Secondly the mouse seems almost to slow or outdated once you get to play it on the DS.

There are many times i found myself working on another solution before the animals actually dropped form my previous match. That cant be done on the flash version.

The inclusion of the binoculars, the shaking animals (when the time narrows), the wider grid of animals, the lucky animals , the score being more visible and easier to see on the DS makes it almost like playing a completely different game to me.

I've played a little bit, but it's just the DS itself that seems to make me not want it. It's an obstacle for me to play some games, which Metroid was the first to show me this with it's seemingly clumsy controls when I prefer the GC controls a lot more. I just happen to prefer the mouse for my Bejeweled clones than a stylus. I guess once I could sit down with it for a while, I could grow to like it, but it's not worth the cost of entry to me right now.

I hear you. I personally wouldnt have bought it for full price. But I found a decent deal on it used and since I have purchased I have grown to like it a lot more and realize its personal value to me.

Also I disliked Metroid at first and found it very frustrating. But I sat down with it for another 30-45 minuts with the thumbsrap tight on my thumb and man is it nice. I am looking forward to it now.

If I had to go off my first impressions of the Zookeeper play (without playing) and Metroid (with either Kiosk or limited play) it would not have sparked my interest.

But since I have them and played them more I am very pleased to this point.

I bought Zoo Keeper because of this thread (30.99 at my local BB in Miami) and I agree that it is worth the 30 bucks. This isnt just Bejeweled on the DS. The different modes and the presentation make it a much more fleshed-out game than what you play on your browser. It wasn't worth $40 bucks, but it was worth thr normal price for a DS game to me. It is quite addicting like bejeweled never was (and I did play beweled with a stylus on my PDA).
