I wish I could take a poll of who would buy it or not. This game deserves to be bought it is freakin awesome... I just figuired out what to do at the end of the demo..... the last monster scared me... lol

Yep ^ also, the graphics are decent anyway on the PS2 IMO. Like I said I'll buy the game just not at release for $50.00 Maybe when it's a GH or a good deal on it for around $30.

Nice demo, looks like a fun game. I agree with everyone else though that this isn't a $50 game.

Anyone want to bet when the price starts to drop? I'm guessing by July we'll see it at $29.99.

Yeah I played the demo about 5-6 times and it is a good game, just IMO not for $50. I only buy a few games at $50 when they launch (MGS,DMC,GTA to name a few) Most other games I usually wait for price drop on. It should be a great game but I know I'll beat it in about a week and never play it again.

I'd get it at launch if I had the means. Maybe another trade-in offer and clearance sale. I haven't had this much fun with a demo since Burnout 3, and that was just the best game of the year.

its a little over rated. the magazines made it sound like this was the game to end all games. well folks, its far from it. i played it. its just ok. like i said, ill buy it when it comes out on xbox.(and since sony owns it, i guess that means i won't be buying this)

I've played the demo 6-10 times through - got the intro lines memorized. It's worth $50, if EB had a trade in deal I would have probably gotten this rather than DMC3.

It's not as frustrating as any of the DMC games so replay value is infinitely higher than DMC. You can either try and master the combo system or you can just go through smashing everyone without having to worry about combo count whereas in DMC series you really have to master the combo in order to be effective.

You haven't played it then. It's a DEEP combo-based attack system, it's only a button masher if you don't try. Check out the extras on the disc if you have it.

i agree, I have not had this much fun and excitement from a game in a long time.... seriously I am going to reserve my copy today because I was at gamestop here in brooklyn NY and they were taking reservations. I think this game may be the next big hit. What do you all think?

Also about the combos....amazing...... like when you are killing the first hydra monster in the ships hull and you get the moster weak and the game asks you to press the O button to do that grab... then the triangle series of button presses..... I was amazed... damn i wish i wasnt at work so I could play again!

i didnt realize that at first but your right. It does use a mark of kri type style but the weapon is SOOO much cooler.... that extending sword rocks the house!

And the combo system is so intuitive - didn't even have to check out the help menus. Awesome.

If the rest of the game is as good as the demo, than we're in for one helluva ride 8) David Jaffe was on screensavers and they showed a whole bunch of videos of the game in action-- i think it's going to be yet another amazing action game for 2005 along with RE4 and DMC3.
