I just put a good 2 - 2 and a half hours into it, and was wondering if any other cheapasses were playing.

my name in R&C 3 is Casey Ryback

I've had it since release, and have yet to try it online. I was hoping to acquire a headset at some point, but don't know if I ever will. If you ever need someone to play with though, lemme know.

you gotta get a headset, it makes the game a lot better.

Plus you can use it for PC games as well.

I would Case but I've been to busy with DMC3 at the moment. I played it offline since I've gotten it from Shrike and it is a hell of a good game.

I've played a couple times online now and it is really fun. I really like the Siege mode, especially with the added bonus of vehicles. I need to get a headset as well, but I can't see dropping $30 on one. I need a cheapass alternative.

The only thing I don't like is that it seems all of the weapons online are from R&C 2. I still don't understand that.

I really want this game., mostly for the online component. I used to love playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein online and heard this is similar. Haven't seen a good deal for it yet though, so I guess I'll have to wait. :(

Gah!

Shrike was hooking everyone up last week with copies for 19.00. He is sold out now though

Doh! I should have paid more attention last week, but I was busy with a rush of pre-spring break work. I just hope there'll still be people playing it online by the time the next deal hits.

someone said there were 5K people on last night, so I do not think it will be a problem

I already have about 3 PC headsets, though they aren't USB. Anyone know of a way to use a standard stereo PC headset via some sort of adaptor? I really can't bring myself to drop $30 for an actual PS2 headset.

I just put in another two and a half hours. Someone has to want to play this game.

*To entice people*

even though there are a lot of little kids, there are also a lot of women playing

I may be on in the next couple of days (possibly tonight, if I can finish up some studying).
I imagine my name will be defiance_17 or something similar.

I am about to finish the single player game. I'd love to play online, but I don't have the network adapter. Maybe I'll get it one day.

I played online, maybe about 30 games total. I agree, the siege mode is the best.
My problem is that in almost every session, some ke3l d00d who's a pro comes in with a new user ID and basically cleans up on the newbies. Real fun.
I beat single player a couple days ago and started New Game, but I've been playing other games I haven't beaten yet, in an effort to get caught up.

I was on a little last night - my sn is vg324. I tried Siege mode and really enjoyed it, but I found myself dying too often because all of the two- and three-bolt players were on the other team. I still need to get used to all that jumping around, and I definitely need to try out that strafe mode.

Well, you could take a long shot at your TRU if it hasn't been picked clean yet...I got my headset for $3 at the Green Tag sale.

I got three bolts the first day I started playing, just from base damage.

I still suck really badly, and die a lot, but the game is pretty fun.

I just started playing this game online and I must say I suck pretty badly. I haven't played the single player missions despite owning all 3 games. My screen name on there is neonglow. I also didn't realize until I had my headset on that almost everyone playing are pretty young.

yea there are a lot of young kids playing. When you get someone who is an adult running the game, and they boot all the kids, it is a great thing
