I have ghost switches installed on my PS2 which allows for USA and JPN games to be played - am I able to play PAL games as well?
I also wonder about my TV, will it work with PAL games? I have imported Doshin the GIANT on GAMECUBE and play it just fine on my TV but some people said that PAL games dont work in the USA........whci doesnt make sense since it DOES work on my CUBE.........any help would be awesome!

The video differences between NTSC and PAL based tech makes it very difficult; I was not able to play PAL games on either my GC or my PS2.
The game would boot up fine, but the video would be black and white, and had a miserable flicker to it; if you remember what it was like to watch PPV back in the day when the signal was scrambled, picture that in black and white, and you'll get the idea.
The Dreamcast, however, worked for me. I imported Shenmue II in order to play the game in English, and it never game me any trouble at all. For the record, I've had the same television for roughly 7 years, which leads me to think it's the console. The television worked with DC, but not GC or PS2.
It's not a perfect answer, but I hope it helps.

Some CAG on this site recently had that black and white issue with Doshin the Giant and I think she fixed it. I don't remember who it was, just that it was a girl. Try searching the site a bit and maybe you'll find the thread.

I was me. I needed to use a different version of freeloader to get the Gamecube to play Doshin w/o black/white flicker. Apparently the newest version 1.04 can handle PAL conversion.

also Im pretty sure that if you use the component cables for the system then It may let you play PAL games.
For example the Eupoean version of NFS Underground 2 works on my UAS ps2 well if I use the component hookup, along w/ my ps2 capcom generations games from europe.
Im not guarenteeing that would work however.
