I saw this game today at my local Brandsmart (A south Florida chain of ~5 stores), in a 2-pack. For $18.88.
I would have picked it up without thought, if the other game in the 2-pack was pretty much anything besides what it actually was.
71% on gamerankings is a tad on the low side for my tastes, but I do like the subject matter. Anybody think the game is worth $18.87? Because I rate the other game in the 2-pack, Turok Evolution, at 1 penny.
Or, does anyone want to buy a sealed Turok Evolution PS2, shipped by media mail, for $6? :D
Man, they also had 2 packs of PS2 astro boy and grommit. I wish they had made 2-packs of astro boy and blood will tell. Fits better together, imo.

I would get it if you can't find it cheaper. I agree with you about the whole game--it sounds very interesting and it is on my Must Buy list. Maybe you could get it cheaper at BB if you use their gift card and $5 off coupon--you could get it for $14.99. That is of course, if the price they have it for is $19.99.
I tend to like games like this one, so if it has average ratings, then it works for me because of the subject matter will compensate for the average score.

I have it and IMO it is def worth $18. I say you should pick it up, if you can't find it any where else cheaper.

You went out on a limb to say it's got the best story among sword-swinging games, huh? That's good enough for me. Though they REALLY should have bundled the two Tezuka games- blood will tell and astro boy- together for the 18.88. Then I would have bought all their stock.
I hate to be paying in any way what-so-ever for a Turok, but I guess it'll at least be worth an extra case, and a cd to zap in the microwave.

Watch the pretty lights! You must do it to this game!

Sometimes I wonder if the microwave CD zap has caused any calamities somewhere in the world. It sure looks destructive when it happens.

YES!
It is SUCH an addictive and fun game......I picked it up for $19.99 @ Gamestop about a month ago and once I started playing it, I couldn't play anything else until I had recovered all of Hyakkimaru's 40 missing body parts!
My only gripe is that the camera is a little wonky and its near impossible to figure out what to do in some levels without looking at a guide. Otherwise its a top notch game IMO!

I like it. Good story (which, IMO, game designers don't pay enough attention to these days), cool enemies. Not perfect, and don't even think about it if you hate boss battles, but I'd totally get it.

I don't value Astro Boy much higher than Turok. It's about a 4 out of 10 in my book. I hope you like BWT.

I found it to be a thoroughly adequate game. I made it a couple of hours in and got kind of bored, but that has more to do with me and my attention for gaming these days than it does with the quality of the game.
