I see a lot of people posting pm me with what you want to pay for this. I think the seller should post the price. what to you all think?

I agree. It saves a lot of time and effort for both parties.

Its normal for the seller to give a price. If you over price no one will offer.
We all want to save money, but everyone also has a set price they are willing to buy or sell. Leave the bargaining to a minimum unless many are purchased.

The seller. It's their item.

Damn Straight.
Imagine walking into EB and going to the counter and saying, "I'll give you $10 for this new sealed Rez."
Message boards are the only place people can get away with stuff like that.

Nice to see that most of you agree. I think it is ridonkulous to ask the buyer to say what they are willing to pay. I see it as the seller not knowing the value or what they want for it.

I agree sellers need to post a price, I think a lot of people are just hoping to see how much they can get for something.

I agree with the seller being the one....they should at least give a ballpark price and then the buyer can negotiate or something.

I think the seller should always post the price. It makes it a hell of alot simpler for both parties .

I think the seller should always quote the price as well. When sellers ask for the price it's kinda annoying.

I agree in general, *but*...
In the case of a focus on 'FT', if someone wants to pay cash, I think the buyer should make an offer.

I have to agree with dtcarson's point too. If you are more interesting in trading, you wouldn't want to worry about placing a price for every little item you have up for trade.

The seller should list prices. Much easier that way. If you don't know how valuable your stuff is or you are afraid you won't get as much as you should, do some research or put it up on eBay. Either way you can make sure you're not ripped off.
And in the case of for trade stuff, you should at least let people know what you're interested in trading for. Give them a list of what you're looking for or whatever so you don't have to go back and forth with "so, are you interested in this?" "No." "So, are you interested in this?" "No." "What the hell are you interested in, then?!"

Plus, even if you are hoping to get the most money for your item, I would imagine that chances are, if a buyer quotes a price its going to be a LOW as possible and you are going to have to haggle upwards anyway.

That's what I'd do. If someone asked me how much I'd pay for something, I'd definitely lowball them.

Yeah but people try it all the time. Its annoying and usually they get ejected for being so rude.
As for the poll...yeah seller should clearly post a price and his/her opinion about haggling.
