this would be a great game to have on the go, the bottom screen could display your hand, and lan/online play would be amazing. if they actully market it to CCGers it should be a hit.

a title that seems like a no brainer that would make amazing use of the touch screen. again, lan and online = amazing!

Monkey Island DS
point and click games would work perfectly with the touch screen. sure i have no clue what they would use the top screen for, but does it even matter? other point and click adventures would be nice too, like sam and max and day of the tenticle.

Street Fighter Anniversary Collection DS
six buttons, need i say more??

7th Guest DS
again i think this, and other games like it would be prefect on the ds.

this would be nothing short of amazing. played with the DS sitting on a table, the game would come packed with padded drum sticks so it wouldnt beat the hell out of the ds screen. hell yes.

Gun-Nac DS
this series needs a comeback, and what better place than the ds where the screen can be 2 screens tall (more of an arcade-ish experiance)

Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
I dont care what system this comes out for just release it!

include 3-4 player multi player and maybe one of the classic games to unlick.

I agree with punq though, I really want a Metal Gear, a Punch-Out, and a Street Fighter game (not the collection though, SSFII:TR with 6 buttons would be perfect though).

I keep thinking of the idea of using both screens for a shoot-em-up, and I don't know if it would turn out well. I think the gap between the screens would throw it off too much.

They showed Animal Crossing DS at GDC during Iwata's keynote. It looked ok. It's online I think. 90% of the time the top screen was showing a sky and clouds. Just wasted space.

other than that I want a karaoke revolution DS... just because. ;-) You know you can have lyrics on the top screen and sing in the mic. The bottom can be the stage/crowd, maybe add a feature where you can use the stylus to perform moves. Just a weird girl thought.

There was an Atari arcade machine called Quantum where you had a sparkly cursor that left a fading trail behind itself. The idea was to use the trackball to move the sparkly so that the trail formed a closed ring around the object bopping around the screen. It would translate really well to using the touch input.

Having Battleship on the DS would be pretty cool, along with some other board games.
I would love to see a Magic the Gathering game released with LAN and online play. I would also love to DS versions of the following TCGs: Pokemon, Star Trek, Star Wars, Spellfire, and Lord of the Rings.

I personally would just like to see these games on the SP instead. I have a DS, but I don't like the touching the screen thing. My hands are small and can't reach very well over to the screen. However, the DS is partially what the SP should have been. Take off the top screen and it would be a perfect portable! Controller just like the SNES (arguably the greatest console ever), a nice colorful screen and great graphics with excellent battery life.


here are the games I would like to see:

1. Pilot Wings (Must have portable version!)
2. Blast Corps (Must have portable version!)
3. Mario Kart (like 64 version)
4. Street Fighter II (SNES 8 Character Edition)
5. Arcade Ports (for me mainly from Konami - Simpson's and Ninja Turtles)
6. Super Smash Bros.
7. Star Fox (like SNES or N64)
8. Zelda (A new version)
9. Tetris Attack (This would kick ass multiplayer via the wireless!)
10. Nintendo Compilations (Balloon Fight, Snow Bros, Kid Icarus, etc...)

Pokemon MMORPG

I always hoped something like that would be released. You can design your trainers look, import faces, and you just go out catch pokemon, you can battle trainers you meet. Gym leaders are NPCs and every year or so they have the pokemon league were everyone who has enough badges battles and you have to go to your battle at a certain time, if you dont have the badges you can like watch from the stands. Wow I would dig that on a console.

so today i had a great idea for a ds game that would be fun and educational... BATTLE CHESS! think about it, control the chess board and move pieces with the stylus or dpad on the bottom screen, and see the battles on the top screen. throw in multiplayer mode and you have yourself the funnest chess game in over a decade. see, doesnt this picture make you want it!

i just thought about my sweet battle chess game and i realized that you could make it rpg style and have the player gain xp through beating friends or the computer, then they could upgrade their pieces, for different looks and battles and stuff, not to make them strong since you cant in chess. but that would give even more insentive to get the sweet chess pieces and stuff... yeah... im going to make this game myself if i have to

I agree 100%, the DS is the perfect console for adventure games and I really hope game companies take note of this.

How awesome would a nice compilation of Classic Sierra or Lucas Arts adventure games be for the DS?

I don't know size wise if this is doable, but I think like a 4 in 1 cartridge of Grim Fandango, Sam and Max, Full Throttle, and 1 of the Monkey Island games would be awesome.

i would go with Culcept, Punchout, Poy Poy and Pokemon from that initial list, but the other ones seem quite bland or better done on a virtual console/emulator.

They should really make a Snatcher port though ^_^.. and more sim-type games, such as Trauma Center (surgeon), Cooking Mama (cooking), and Phoenix Wright (lawyer)
