I have Mario Bros. Deluxe and I know that's already no. 1...games don't get better than that. What is everyone else's thoughts on good, cheap gbc games I can get for about $10 or less?

Pokemon Pinball does indeed rule. Though I am definitely a fan of pinball video games.

If you never played the NES version the Dragon Warrior I&II and III carts are good nostalgia trips.
Wario Lands 2 and 3 are very well rated.

Zelda games (Oracle games and DX)
Pokemon Pinball
In all reality, not too many great games on GBC. Zelda was awesome, but that's about it...

The GBC era was so intensely dominated by Pokemon a lot of other stuff got lost in the shuffle. If you go to the review sections of long existing sites like IGN you can search their old reviews for high scorers. IGN makes this especially easy by letting you list just game that got, for intance, an 8.x score. OTOH, they don't list GBC separately from other GameBoy types, so you have to figure out from the reviews dates and other context items whether it is a GBC title.
A lot of good GBC games that EB sells for very cheap I might never have bothered with if I hadn't been able to find good info on the web.

I think Pokemon Silver and Pokemon TCG were both very good. As epobirs said pokemon dominated the GBC

I know it's been stated before, but I want to plug MGS. I never got the chance to get it(well actually I saw it in many stores but once I finally wanted it it was gone! #-o) and I heard it's amazing.

Well, I just got my Shantae in the mail yesterday. I bought it off of ebay for $16 total and it's pretty fun. Yea, it wasn't cheap, but it usually sells for $20+.
I also recommend
Pokemon Puzzle
Pokemon Pinball
(and the other pokemon games, if you are into that sort of thing)
Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets
HP:CoS is really really fun, get it if you see it. It got a 78% from GameRankings.com. The mini-games included are entertaining as well and I liked the gnome tossing one. HP: Sorceror's Stone sucked, so don't bother. You don't need to be a HP fan to play CoS. Plus you have enemies like angry vaccums, lamps, and garden hoses. Please look into it.
Wario Land II & III
Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land
Actually for the GB...but still very fun
Kirby's Star Stacker
Again, actually for the GB...but still very fun
The Adventures of Zelda DX
Magi Nation
Worms Armaggedeon
Donkey Kong Country
Alone in the Dark

Tetris DX, the best version of Tetris ever made.
And if you're a fan of Zelda, I'd throw in another vote for Zelda: Ages and Zelda: Seasons. They're both great games.

If you haven't tried them...the Pokeman's are a hell of a lot of fun. I think the GB/GBC ones are under $10 at eb.
The gameplay is solid even if you are adult like me!
I also enjoyed Warlocked! a simple RTS and Cannon Fodder..
by the way..
Alone in the Dark
Kirby's Tilt and Tumle
Mario Golf
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
are all under $10 at ebgames.com

Mario Tennis
Dragon Warrior 1/2 - a must for the GBC
Dragon Warrior 3 - a must for the GBC
Mario DX
Pokemon Pinball
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
Pokemon TCG
Pokemon Silver
Pokemon Gold
Wario Land 3 - a definite must. It's my favorite of the series
Kirby's Titl 'n' Tumble
Mickey's Speedway USA
Dragon Warrior Monsters - a must for the GBC. It's one of my favorites and I almost want to say it surpasses the Pokemon games
Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 - " "

There's a really obscure game called Hands of Time which can be had new sometimes for under 10. Let me tell you that the story from the moment it started till it ended kept me glued. It had a better story then half the console games in stores now. It's a top down, legend of zelda kind of game and don't judge it by the box art, it's a fun game with or without you following along with the story.

Tomb Raider
Tomb Raider: Curse of the Sword
Those two games are really good and IMO better than the traditional console versions. They are side scrolling games like the old Prince of Persia game. Large characters and very smooth animation.
Metal Gear Solid
Amazing game that borrows more from the PS One game and not the NES game.
Mario Golf
I playe this more than any other GBC game I have. I'm 60 hours into it now.
