Ridge Racer or NFSU:Rivals which one to buy?

I want to pick one of these racings games at SamGoody.com along with Lumines to get the Visa discount. I have not played a Ridge Racer game since PSX, and I have both the NFSU games for my Xbox and really enjoyed the first one and thought the second was so-so. I have watched the trailers for both and the look kinda the same. I just wanted some outside opinions from some fellow CAG on what one of the two they might be picking up and why.

Get Untold Legends that looks like the best game next to Metal Gear and Lumines.

Not a big fan of portable racing.

If I get one I going to wait for PSP GT4!

NFSU will likly take after the second game so I'd say if you didn't really dig that to go with RR. atleast until reviews come in on it. With RR you're likly to run into more people you can play vs with since I bet more people will likly buy that on launch since you can be resonably certain what you're in for with it.

I am getting ridge racer. I personally think that will be the better of the two.

ridge racer seems to be the psp game getting the best reviews, check out metacritic.com

From what I can tell from the impressions on gamespy there's no link really to either of the underground games so it's probably original content just like in RR.

I hear good things about RR, but NfSU: R looks like it's better to me for some odd reason.

ridge racer is an supposed to be awesome and it 39.99 in contrast to the 49.99 pricetag of NFSU

FYI if anyone cares I went for NFSU:Rivals, I figured I could always jump on Ridge Racer at SamGoody.com later on when I order Death Jr.

personally i'd recommend Ridge racers or wipeout for racing. NFSU is kind of overpriced.
