I've been using the same old computer monitor for years now. The resolution maxes out at 800x600 and it is way too dark. I've been putting up with it for a while but I figure now I may as well look around for something better. I keep the monitor on a shelf right above three of my game consoles, so I don't want to put anything too heavy on there. I briefly put my dad's old (but still way newer than mine) monitor on there, but it was too bulky and it just didn't feel safe. So I figure I may as well pay a little extra and get a nice, pretty, lightweight flat-panel.

So anyway, if anyone could direct me to a good deal I would appreciate it. I'm not too picky, as you can probably gather by the description of my current monitor. Outpost has a deal for a 17" one for $150 after a rebate ( http://www.outpost.com/entry?site=op:mfe031105&sku=4122743 ). That sounds pretty good to me, but I've never really shopped around for a monitor so I figured I'd run that by you guys and see what you thought. Again, any other deals would be appreciated, thanks!

17" would be nice, but I'd go for 15" if the price was really really good. I'll check that ben's bargains place, thanks for the heads up! Although now I think I'll be putting my money towards a laptop instead, but I will keep my eyes opened.
