View Full Version : The first batch of PSP games hit the stores today

I work at retail and we jus got 2 PSP games in today ::drum roll:: Soccer, and hockey by 989 sprts....I was praying it was untold legends. ANyhow the game cases are clear, and half the size of DVD cases in width and same size in height. Just FYI

Everyone has to wait until launch.. I bet there's a huge fine if they break street date.

Manager said he dunno to sell them now or not, but its only hockey and soccer so I doubt they would sell until the system comes out

Actually ign reported that capcom is releasing Darkstalkers for sale this thursday/friday. So some games are being released before the system.

but I was saying I doubt people would buy the hockey and soccer game before release, but Untold legends, and more noticible games would sell

Actually ign reported that capcom is releasing Darkstalkers for sale this thursday/friday. So some games are being released before the system.

I believe some accessories are coming out before the system as well, so keep an eye out for those if you want to get them.

Eh, I might check around this week and pick up a game. I have an import psp already so I'd have no problem playing it. I can confirm as well that chris is right, the cases look awesome. Thin and sleek.

EB is selling all the Sony first party titles this Wednesday. Yay I get to stare at the Twisted Metal: Head On box till the 24th.

The games aren't street dated: there are people with imports that could be playing them as soon as they hit shelves- why wait? The only thing dated is the system, to avoid pandemonium and rioting.

Heeee- yeah, totally zoned out on that! But, yeah, ppl such as yourself are why they're open dated. By-the-by, what's this word on Untold Legends, NFSU:R, MGS:A, and Ridge Racer being tight supplies, OoS in some instances?

I work at ShopKo in Freeport, IL and we received that soccer game today. The box lists a street date of 3/20 so we cannot sell them until then and I'm pretty sure it applies to all stores.

Yes. We're also getting in THUG 2 Remix as well Wednesday.

I wonder if different corporations bought different rights to obtaining and releasing the PSP media. FYE at the local mall has all their product SD'd. GS, no. EB, no. I believe BB is. Curioser and Curioser...

I would not be too happy if I ended up with the 4 games I pre-ordered but not the console!
