Looks like I am welcomed back from my mini-vacation by some kind of problem with the server memory and (perhaps that) seemed to corrupt some nameserver crap...thanks to Defender to getting us back online again.

Defender said it would be a funny story about what happened. That wasn't funny (besides the part of having problems as soon as you get back from vacation  )

I make a motion that we delete all inactive accounts within the last six months and purge threads before June 2004.. that'd free up a hell of a lot of memory if that's the problem.

No, it appears it was a hardware problem.
Its not a space issue.

What is the deal with all these hackers all of the sudden? Do they not like good deals?

If you ever DID need to delete older threads in the future, just give us a heads up. I have some old threads in my favorites that I'd need to back up.

Okay, the server was just down again for about an hour.

Last night about ten I stumbled on the Overstock deal and I couldn't post because the server was down. I understand this was a hardare fault but for the past week the site has been completely unreliable.

You guys missed out on the DS deals. They had Sprung and Atari retro for $16.

:(

Is there any way that we can upgrade to something better? It's down for a few minutes at least once an hour, and then we have huge outages like yesterday. When are we gonna upgrade already?

Edit: There we go again, down for a few minutes. This is ridiculous.

The server goes down and Ackbar forgets how to post pics.

But CAG being down last night was good thing for me. I had to write a 10 page paper. But thanks Defender for bringing the site back online afterwards

That's the correct link. Stupid IE flipping backslashes with foreslashes and still showing the picture.

Glad it's back. Thanks defender. I was having CAG withdrawals again. The site's been very unreliable for the past week. Up an ddown, phpBB: Critical error after phpBB: Critical Error. It can be frustrating.

I'm still waiting to hear this funny story he said he had about it.

Because he can instantly take you out of the CAG matrix like you were never here at all.
