id say either seinfeld, law and order, newsradio, sports night, simpson, family guy, the old seasons of nypd blue, and even though its fairly new arressted development. oh and spider man both the fox and mtv versions the old batman cartoons. andy richter controls the universe was great. the tick. hate to say it but i watched the first two seasons of digimon religiously. anything on nick at nite. oh oh curb your enthusiasm. i havent seen many of the episodes but its great.

maybe i watch too much television.

What the sports night sucked. In fact I believe they made fun of it in the family guy episode Lets Go To The Hop, which you also have family guy on ur list. Anyways I'd have to say Chappelle's Show, Family Guy, Seinfeld, Real World is always good, and then of course I know I'll get dissed but I think that Recess is a good show.

Amen. The other ones are:

7. The OC
6. South Park
5. Queer Eye For the Straight Guy
5. Straight Plan For The Gay Man
4. Family Guy
3. Survivor: All-Stars
2. The Simpsons (although it got stale now, seasons 6-11 were godly)
2. CSI
1. And once again, 3-South!!!!

There are a bunch of other shows that I tune in to watch regularly like Chappelle's Show, Pimp My Ride, etc. but I don't consider them worthy of my all-time fave. shows list. And quite frankly, I don't even know why the OC is on there considering I don't even know when new episodes air, but I did watch and like 5 or 6 episdoes, so I figured I should add it. And I know what you guys are thinkng, and Queer Eye is freakin awesome!

EDIT: Just had to add that The Simpsons and CSI are tied for second, that wasn't a typo.

Final EDIT: I just remembered Straight Plan For The Gay Man; the 4 or so episdoes that were aired were gold, so that's tied with Queer Eye, heh :)

9. 24
10. Sportscenter

Seinfeld.

Hands down the best television show ever, Larry David is a genius. Even now when I watch the reruns on TBS, they're still funnier than anything else on televsion. (Curb Your Enthusiasm, David's own show, is hilarious too)

I'm glad to see Seinfeld gettin' it's props, that show is damn funny. I love M*A*S*H so far it's the only television show I've gotten off my ass and purchased seasons of. All in the Family, News Radio, Letterman, Futurama and Twin Peaks are all great.

Northern Exposure was awesome I was so young when I watched the show, it's weird when I see episodes now I like em even more but realize I must have been a weird kid to have loved staying up to watch it.

The Job (Denis Leary's Cop show) is another favorite, it only aired for two seasons but it had a really biting sense of humor that I couldn't get over. It's a cop drama that had all the lameness removed and replaced with Leary's wicked sense of humor.

Anyone who bags on Will & Grace can't have seen much, the 7 or 8 times I've seen the show it was f*ck off hilarious. I was turned off at first by the whole setup but so many sitcoms base the majority of their comedy on stereotypes and character's relationships, I don't see why a show being "one long gay joke" is a problem.

Jesus christ people, what are you all 20 years old or younger? Will and Grace? best show ever? Does this even qualify as entertainment?

Really guys, I love a lot of television shows and have many favorites throught my years of worshiping the magical picture box, but there are few shows that transcend pure entertainment time wasting and actually contain enough substantive content to jog that grey piece of flesh that dangles between your eardrums.

The best television show of all time was The Prisoner. A BBC television show that lasted only 16 episodes and enjoyed many a syndication run in the US in years past. A retired secret agent, kidnapped and forced to live in "the Village", a prototype fabricated community built to break an agent , discover his loyalties, and extract sensitive information has to be the best concept for a TV show in history. You must watch this show. It's intelligent, philisophical wordplay is unchallenged in the entertainment medias, save only a few masterpieces like The Lion In Winter (movie).

Video games already suck out the soul and thwart your cranial fortitude. You should introduce some thought provoking content in an otherwise juvenile jungle of picture shows.
