After noticing twenty (20) threads on the first page of the forum, i've decided to make the official CAG PSP discussion thread! This thread was approved by Punq, so maybe it'll be stickied. Post about the PSP.. games delivered to stores, if you got it, how you got it, who you had to kill to get it, how awesome it is, how it made you orgasm in your pants, how it made your wallet cry, etc!

We're a little under 48 hours 'til launch (Thursday, right?), talk about how you're preparing!

And don't forget to trade your DS for my Gamecube and RE4 + sealed Viewtiful Joe 2!

I can't wait to see how easy or hard it will be to get movies converted to MPEG-4 or whatever kind of format they have to be for the PSP.

Hopefully, some good tutorials will come out soon.

Also, I can't wait to see if there will be any kind of third-party or homebrew applications pop up for the system.

There are alot of programs out already to convert to MP4. Along with tutorials for the different uses. I myself have already converted Family Guy episodes, Simpsons Episodes, Videos, Pulp Fiction along with some other items.

It was a hassle at first cause I was unsure of what to do and had to dl the approiate items to get everything working. Now its a simple two step process. Rip the dvd and then drop it into the converter.

If anyone is on the look-out for a quality case for their PSP I highly recommend the silicone skins being sold on eBay right now. I just got mine in the mail yesterday and it's really high quality and washable! It's not a substitute for a quality carry case but it will keep your PSP finger smudge free, and protect it from nicks and dents. I'll be interested to see how tight a fit it will be once I get my PSP into it.

I use 3GP and once I figured out that my computer needed certain quick time files and various codecs it was a snap.

No experience with Ipsp, if I rememebr correctly that was a new program , not free ( I could be wrong ) with 2 diff versions a PC and a Mac version. Video -9 i know just came out recently and havent used it. There's another one called Rapiz. Personally I just didnt lke this program. Seemed to take longer and was having alot of error messages.

User friendly is Dvd decrypter and then 3gp. IMO The most decrytper has taken is 5 mins to rip the file. Then 3gp will be 1-2 hours depending on comp speed, etc etc.

This looks like a thread Stealthy should have started. Never seen anyone as enthusiastic about the PSP than him. Scorch on the other hand........ I think he just got annoyed at seeing PSP all over ;) mayb eyou should do this for the DS too eh?

Everytime we're on the verge of something big being released people create a dozen topics because they want to be heard not be lost in the dinn of an ongoing conversation in an "Official thread".

Especially with all the new people that seem to be showing up, it's the way things will always be Scorch...valiant effort though.

I need a PSP screen protector, but I have no idea which one to get.

I definitely don't want one that will leave any kind of residue behind, and I also want one I can go buy at a B&M store not one I have to order online.

Check there for some tut's and PSP converting tools. I use Rapiz PSP Convertor. Works very well :)

Holy shit.

Anyone see the PSP commercial yet... Its very iPod esque except with a different song. I have a feeling this might actually be as large a sensation as the iPod. I can already tell the marketing is going to be overbearing.

My Costco has 100 bundles with Twisted Metal and some Sport Game for $320 untuched :shock: Sony better start those comercials running ASAP, cuz noone gives a F*ck. It's a lot of money to spend on a portable.

more like people are resistant to bundles.... also Costco for games? Maybe if I need a pack of 500 AA batteries or an industrial size apple pie.

I doubt many people think of them for games or atleast if they do they don't find the prices to be much better than what they get elsewhere..
