I've been mulling it over in my mind and I don't want to do anything way too rash. What do you guys recommend? Since I'll be on break by then, I figure 6 in the morning isn't such a bad time to start waiting at Toys R Us. But since I heard Target will open at 8, does anyone know if they took preorders, cause then I'll wait there instead.

go up whenever you want, at your leisure. We're not going to have a non-christmas 1 million, 1 day sell out. Show up in a couple days if that suites you.

I'm friends with the manager at my local eb, so I'm sneaking in at 7am to pick mine up before school. :D Everyone picking up a PSP, go to this rockin forum. :D

I need money badly. Does anyone know how much money you get for donating plasma? I think its time to start. When you are planning on how early to go out to wait, think of the Halo 2 launch. People were waiting in line ~4 hrs before opening. Granted, that was a game, not a system, so adjust accordingly. I would say a couple of hours early if you haven't preordered.

Yeah that pretty much sums up my thoughts on lining up ahead of time...

Will the PSP be this popular to have to wait in line before a store opens? Was the DS this popular?

If you're interested, CC will start handing out vouchers at 7am; at least mine is, I can't speak for every store. We'll probably be opening at 8am since that's when BB is opening.

Mine is pre-ordered at Gamerush. I'm gonna get there at 11:59PM Wednesday. At midnight, I'll pick it up. No waiting in line for me.

You think you're the only one who's gonna show up to pick up their pre-order at midnight? I see at least a small line in your future...

My EB opens at 7am, but I'm far too lazy for that. So, I figure I'll get up at 8, get to EB about 8:45, come home and plug in my PSP to charge, and then head out to class at 10:15. That way, I can avoid the after-work crowd when I get out of class at 4:30, and my PSP will be fully charged when I get home! Wheee!!

Well, considering that the store I pre-ordered from only sold 6 PSP's total, I don't think it'll be much of a line (if any).

I thought the whole point of a preorder was reserving it so I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night and wait in line in my pjs like a dingus...

I'm going to get mine on the way home from work... but I'll probably leave early.

The other difference is that Halo 2 was released one month before Chrismas.

No pre-orders at Target, plus they have a 1 limit per customer rule, so you might get lucky.

The EB holding my order isn't doing a midnight sale. They called to say they'd be open a little earlier than usual, at 8 AM. Seeing as it's already paid for I'll just head over when I feel like it sometime Thursday.

One of the games I was really hoping to get with it is delayed until some time in April, so that is a bit of a disappointment. Once I've used up my accumulated store credit at EB and TRU I'll have to wait until games get seriously marked down before buying any more, so I'll have to hold back until later to get my full launch package.

My Gamestop says they easily have enough to fill preorders. My Gamecrazy says they have plenty to fill preorders only. Bottom line - if you preordered you can get it whenever you want tomorrow. Don't be a dork and camp out unless you haven't preordered.
