Our class is going to Boston for a few days this summer to observe how different businesses run. We need ideas on what to do, and so far we have:
Tour of Fenway Park
Tour of Samuel Adams Brewery
Tour of National Reserve Bank
Tour of Fleet Center
Quincy Market
Faneuil Hall
Harvard Square
And for fun:
IMAX (next to aquarium)
Six Flags (far-off but still do-able)
Red Sox Game
Hatchshell/ Esplenada
Boston Common
We don't want to go to the museum, aquarium, or freedom trail. Anyone else been to Boston and have anything they can come up with?

Take a duck tour. They drive you around boston, do a tour, and then drive the big boat-bus into the harbor. It's a good time for the tourists.

I've been on one of those, in Branson, Missouri.

See if theres anything going on at the hatchshell. It's this big half-dome next to the Charles River, they do concerts there and show movies. Depending on when you go you might be able to see a band there.

We have one of those up here in Bar Harbor. They're alright, but nothing fanastic. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ya, it's still there. Faneuil Hall and Quincy are pretty much the same thing.

Noted. Thanks.

Go to the Garment District...it's this sweet used clothing store where all the clothes are lying on the floor in piles and you just kinda wade through them looking for cool stuff. Best part for a CAG: Clothing is $1.50 A POUND.

Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market are not exactly the same thing. Faneuil Hall is the enormous old building in the center of Quincy Market. In it are tons of restaurants with kiosks surrounding it. Quincy Market includes Faneuil Hall as well as several other stores and restaurants basically surrounding Faneuil Hall. It's a huge place and they've redone the whole area.
And Quincy itself is a town a bit south of Boston, and has nothing to do with Quincy Market. 8-)
Also, head over to Beacon Hill and check out Boston Common. The Common is beautiful in the spring and summer. And you can feed the swans and ducks!
See what's going on at The Fleet Center. You might be able to get tickets to a concert or another show. If you are into theater, check out what is playing down in the Theatre District. The Hatchshell might be a cheaper (and maybe better) alternative.
The Museum of Science is a lot of fun, too. I know you mentioned you weren't interested in the museums, but if you were going to go to any, go there.

Indeed, although I don't know of any good shows, coming up, that are not 18+.

Yeah, very good call. It's fun to go to even if your not big on second hand clothing.
Also OP how close to Bar Harbor are you... My family has a house in Bass Harbor. :)

Right, kinda what I was hinting at, but was still completely wrong about.

Whoops. Thanks for the correction. :-)

We're already looking into The Fleet Center and Hatchshell. Not so sure about the Theatre District though. :-)

It's not so much that it's not ineteresting, it's that most of us have been to the same museum at least 10 times.

I'm not sure exactly, but I live in Lewiston, so that's about..... anywhere from 1-2 hours.
EDIT: I just checked on mapquest.com and it said it was approx. 3 hours! Yeesh!

Definitely check out Harvard Square. It's just a few stops on the T from Boston proper, and it's a pretty bitching place. While you're there you can go to Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage, which is the best hamburger you will ever have in your life.

Harvard Square.... I think I've been there. Is that the place where all the students from BU, BC, and Northeastern hang out? Anyways...noted, thanks. :-)
On a side note, thanks to everyone who is helping out. It is much appreciated.
