All these are good suggestions.
If you are only looking for exclusives get ED (15 bucks at gamestop if you can find it), RE 1 and 0, Pikmin (20 bucks). Metroid Prime will sell for 20 bucks starting the end of April, this is one of the best games for any system this generation, period. F-zero will sell for 20 bucks at the end of April too.
I also heavily reccomend Beyond Good and Evil (20 bucks), a steal at its price. Pick up Freedom Fighters (20 bucks), Metal Arms (20 bucks).
Most of the 20 dollar titles can be had at Best Buy for 15 using the Gamer's gift card.

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is excellent (especially in multiplayer modes), although it is still a fairly expensive game even after being out for months now.
As for cheap games, I'd recommend Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, TimeSplitters 2, and Smash Bros. Melee if you're interested in a 3-4 player game.

Eternal Darkness is cool, Mario Sunshine is almost obligtory, and you can usually find a new copy of Wind Waker on eBay for 25-30.
Also, SSBM features Mr. Saturn. As an item.

It's not a GC exclusive, but Gamestop has used copies of Bloodrayne for $9.99. It's worth the price. (Note: The PS2 version is $17.99 used)
Another good one is Sonic Mega Collection (if you're not looking into getting a Genesis).
