IMO, Xbox 360 sounds like a car or something. Xbox 2 or Xenon are fine. I liked how Sega named their consoles, so one woudln't sound obsolete to the other. It would feel strange if an EB cashier said,".. for PS3 or the 360?"..

I went with Xbox 360. I don't like it, but it seems like the most likely candidate right now. My favorite names are NextBox (without the stupid emphasized "T") and Xbox Next.

I have a personal bias against 360, as '360' seems to be used most often in conversation by idiots saying something like 'I did a complete 360 on that issue.'

I think it will be Xbox Next personally. It keeps the Xbox brand name without the impression of inferiority that comes with Xbox 2. Xbox 360 is ridiculous. Unless it has something to do with the actual design.

360 is too associative to Revolution (360 degrees is one revolution) - I think it'll be Xbox Next as they don't want to lose the Xbox branding. To toss another name out there, how about Xbox Xenon?

You know I've just been calling it "nextbox" myself just because it portrayed a suitably mocking tone without being mean when ever I said it. But thinking about this "360" I'm wondering if they wouldnt go with a circular design... more of a "X-Cylinder" than a "box". :razz:

360 is it, it would seem, but that was by far the shittiest possible option. I kinda see why they'd want to stick with the Xbox brand, since it has some credibility as a brand name now. Though, the name Xbox was pretty shitty to begin with.
