I saw at a local store, Lost Kingdoms 1 + 2 complete i think for both under $10, Is It Worth Picking UP. I'm not much of an rpg person though.

Just picked up LK II, myself. 9.99-10% Edge card. Haven't played it though. Only gets mediocre ratings and is not eligible for any EB trade in deals!

Definately get the first one - its loads of fun and definately an uinderrated game. I wasn't so hot for the second one though

Well.... they aren't much of RPGs ....
they're a lot like pokemon/ yugioh where you collect things and do battles with cards...
Not a great game... but ok for $5 if you have nothing better to do.

I had LK 2 and i hated that game, i wouldn't recommend either, but if you like card based fighting games you might like it

I picked up LK1 at the Circuit City sale thinking it was another third person platformer, but once I discovered it was card-based, I couldn't really get into it. For $5 or less though, it's probably worth trying out for new people.

I picked up LK 2 at the CC sale last year for $5 but have still to play since I can't seem to find a good condition LK1 in my area and that I want to play the first one first..

I see people whine about card RPGs all the time, and i really don't see how this is anything like a Yu-Gi-Oh or a pokemon - those comparisons sound ridiculous. It's totally more like an action rpg like a baldurs gate, the cards are just weapons and items, not like any other card game I've played. Its bad comparisons like that which make them game underrated and unpopular in the firs place. it's a simple game - simple battle system, graphics, sound, but its all done really well.

:applause::applause: Bravo Bravo. I wholy agree with this statement. Some games get a bad rap just because supposedly they use cards so that means they are bad. For Example, games like Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories gets a bad rap because it uses cards for its battle system. I like its system very much and actually feel that the card system implented in that game actually ads to the strategy needed in the game.

I played the game for several hours... I found the graphics to be sub-par (not too bad) but the story was lame and the combat repetative. You also did need to hunt down all the different cards if you wanted a decent army. The game was mediocre at best.

And I've seen people whine about card based RPGs all the time, but then in the months leading up to the release of the PSP, Sony fanboys came out of the woodwork, saying how great the MGS: Ac!d (or whatever) card based gameplay was going to be... I don't get it either.
Anyway, my point is, if you really think that you will like a game, despite it's ratings, try it out. If you really hate a certain type of game, but there are no killer apps for the system it is on and you haven't even played the game (MGS:A) don't go around saying that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread...:roll:
To the OP, I haven't played them, but I have thought that I would like them. So as per my advice, I have been looking for them for around $10 each, new. At that price, even if they are "okay," you really don't lose...
