Is there any way besides doing a ctrl+f search to check if anything is duplicated in a document? I've got a list of about 1000 agreements and my boss wants me to check that nothing is duplicated on the list...

Sounds like another late night at work. Gee...what else is new?
*Sorry, I have no idea. Bump.

I think your boss means that he doesnt want repeated words like in the sentence: "I am am not sure what to think".
If you do a Grammer check, it should uncover those errors. Generally speaking, its listed under the tools menu. I found that ever version of MS Word is different in what the menus have so it could be under another menu.

Nope - myself and about 5 other associates are basically auditing an entire company and as part of the process we have to list every agreement the company has ever entered. The client has been completely disorganized in providing the contracts to us so we have learned that some of us reviewed the same agreements and since they were all pasted into one giant list for the client, there are definitely duplicates on the list. It is now my job to remove all the stuff appearing twice... anyone able to help?

Oh...now I understand what you are saying. Thats a tough problem. I know the later versions of MS Word have a command called 'autosummarize' which might help. It might be under the tools menu.
Other than that, I really dont know what else to tell you. Its one of the problems where I kinda have to be there to solve it.
