What is up with that controller? It's backwards! And who the hell presses the controller buttons in that manner? This certainly doesn't bode well for 1up.com. The least they could do was hire a decent photoshop artist. Very sad indeed.

I have a commercial for Brighthouse cable, where they talk about XBox Live and PS2 online, and it shows someone with a gamecube controller, and all they're doing is swiveling the c-stick around and around. Actually it's only backwards because of the way she's facing. tilt your head and you'll see that she's holding it right. i checked about 17 times too to make sure and it looks absolutely fine to me.

If you look closely enough you'll SONY on the controller is YNOS and the D-Pad is on the right side of the controller. I don't have a PS2 but I haven't heard of any redesigns on the controllers... or on Sony's name. =P

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but are you saying you hold it upside down so the triggers are facing you? I can't figure out exactly what you mean.

I use my fingers to press the attack buttons instead of my thumb. While I'm standing on my head, spinning and whistling the tune to the Andy Griffith Show.

Another odd thing I noticed was that its physically impossible to hold the controller as pictured. In other words, unless you discombobulate the controller the D-pad will be on the left and face buttons will be on the right. So I'm thinking they edited the controller into her hands (if those her hands).

That begs the question, what was she holding instead of the controller?
