Okay, so I took a couple of videos back to HV tonight. While I was there I looked thru what else they had to rent. I picked up a copy of MX vs ATV unleashed. Figured it may be a fun rental (which was free via my free rental coupon) just for the heck of it.

Anyway, while I was checking out, I saw a stack of XBOX games behind the counter. There was a post-it-note on them that said "Do not put these on the shelf until Tuesday!" Then, I looked to see what the game boxes were. Yep, they were a stack of DooM 3 XBOX games. While I'm not Jonesin' to rent it right away, I'm sure there are some ppl that are gonna be freakin' if they see those JUST out of reach until Tuesday. Man, that was just SO cruel for them to put em out where ppl could see them, but not rent them...evil b@st@rds...lol.

I was at BBV tonight and saw about 8 copies lined up on the display shelf. Of course, neither contained the disc. I could've easily thumbed thru the included manual while I was handling the case. I'm not sure if it was available to rent, since there were no BBV cases behind the Doom 3 boxes. Maybe they are waiting until Tuesday.

I haven't been craving Doom3 at all, but the idea of having working versions of 1 and 2 on my Xbox is tempting - no XBL, I bet.

Yeah, I'm gonna wait on playing DooM 3 til I find a cheap copy for the PC if for no other reason than to be able to use a keyboard/mouse instead of a controller. The PC FPS player in me just won't let me get used to playing a FPS game with a controller trying to use my THUMB to control my aim...something just ain't right about that...lol.

If DooM 3 had been on the shelf, I may have rented it (for free using one of my free rental coupons from GameCrazy). But, seeing it sitting there just made me think how nuts some fanboys will be that just GOTTA play it and have to drool while it sits there in plain sight...hehe. Kinda makes you wonder if the ppl at Game Crazy told em to do it just to see the reaction they would get....mwuahahaha (evil B@st@rds). :}

Or it could just show how many people don't want to spend $100+ to upgrade their PC 'cause they can't play this game on their current set-up. Hell, some people just don't bother playing games on their PC even when they have the chance (me). What this post shows is how naive you are.

I rented this yesterday at my local blockbuster. It's not too bad so far, just kind of repetitive. I guess I forgot that about the old doom games. I do enjoy how the story has been fleshed out, however.

I used to be a PC gamer but now I reserve my computer for graphics work and I leave all the gaming for my xbox.

Its more convient to have Doom for the Xbox anyways. The keyboard and mouse is better overall but I can live with the Xbox controller.
