I got the last one at my store. The employee set aside 1 for himself. I had to get back to work and I wanted to make sure I had the money before I got it. I called back 30 minutes after I got back. He had sold 1 in that 40 minute time frame from when i was at the store to when I called back. He told me he would hold the last one till they close for me. I just got home with it and my first impressions of this game are pretty good. The controller is awesome.

Let me tell what else was awesome....... carrying that huge box a half mile in the sun back to my car (paid for parking near my job, and would lose my spot and have to pay again if it took it out on lunch). In these circumstances I would say the walk was worth it tho. I was extremely lucky to get this game, I know it wouldn't have lasted till the end of the day if I didn't get it. Best deal I've got in a long time.

I just wanted to let some of you know that Media Play in the Bay Area (Great Mall) sold out all SB. So don't brother to waste your time to go down there. A guy who work there told me that all SB sold out 2 months ago and he does not know anything about the deal. Damn. Well I just talked to my Uncle in North Carolina and he is picking mine up tommorrow. The employee I called was really cool and scan the item for he. (He orginally told he it was 200). He scanned it and it came up 100 just like I said. He said "Damn it is that cheap I am going to have to pick one up now". I said "well how many do you have?" 2 was his response. I told him I was calling for Palm Bay Florida and if he could hold it until my uncle could grab it tommorrow. He sounded shocked (of the Palm Bay comment) and said sure and took my Uncle name. Newington, CT. Picked up the last two with a friend. So they are out. SB is reason enough to buy an XBox. Trust me on this one, and I've only played this game for five minutes.

Major props to CAG and the god send who created this topic. Deal of the year, because a few years down the road when Capcom decides to stop making these they'll be up to $300 easily I'm sure.

I've been living in Cali for over two years now, but am originally from Boston. Trust me, I can understand this from both perspectives. =) Man, only one Media Play in all of California?! Thankfully, I have the game already. On the other hand, being just 20 minutes outside of S.F., I'm planning on attending that Capcom Focus Group on 4-28-04 for a cool $75.00 to talk about stuff I love! It all works out in the end. =)

Btw, to the Nadesico fan, Daigouji Gai is my favorite chara from Nadesico. Met Asamiya Kia-sensei at Animazement 1999 I think it was, got many shitajiki and artbooks signed (Dark Angel hardcover in particular), but my favorite thing from him was a sketch of Daigoji Gai. Out of all the sketches I've collected over the years, that is easily one of my favs for sure. I don't have LoC yet, but I'm looking forward to getting it. ^^x

Actually a few years ago Musicland company who owns Suncoast, Sam Goody, Media Play, and one or two others I'm not sure of ran into some trouble so they closed quite a few Media Plays probably about 5 years ago (I think). Their troubles continued and 3 years ago Best Buy bought them out. While under Best Buy they closed quite a few Sam Goody's and a few more Media Plays. About 6 months to a year ago now Best Buy gave away their shares of Musicland in an attempt to cut their losses. They gave them away because the group that acquired the company also had to acquire the massive debt it was in. All in all Best Buy lost QUITE a bit of money on this whole deal.

Depends on how much you like Mech games. If you really aren't into those type of games it probably isn't worth it for you.

However, if you buy it and don't like it, you could easily get back what you paid plus probably a little more (I am guessing around $130 - $150) on Ebay.

I love the game....well...I love Line of Contact (the online version)...

The game will require some patience to get used to it...believe me. But it is well worth the time and effort...play the single player a little to get the hang of things, then hop on in some free mode...after you get the hang of things, you will absolutely love this game.
The learning curve is very heavy at first...you will get the basics down in a few hours time probably.
After that you will learn more and more. You continually pick up new skills/techniques as you play.

In my opinion, this is the most fun online game I have ever played....I have many xbox live games, but this gets the most play by far right now.
Trust me when I say, if you stick with the game until you know how to really play, you will LOVE it.
$100 is a steal. Why you are at it, pick up Line of Contact.

I don't think you are likely to get it for that. I cost me a total of $139 including tax, UPS Ground shipping, and insurance, to send it to Diiz, not including time, gas, pain and suffering, etc., lol. A few bucks could probably be trimmed off if you find a smaller box that will hold it (the only box that I had that was big enough was from a 19" monitor, and I didn't want to just ship it bare), and most people pay a dollar or two less in tax, but you are still pretty much asking someone to spend more money than they are getting (unless you get it from BasketCase, whose store sells it for much less).

Took a road trip to Macon, GA and found four of em that were actually $89.99. It was on sale for 8 more minutes (the store was closing and it was the last day of the sale, the 23rd last Friday), so I just waited for a minute till closing and bought em. I felt that if someone else was going to get them for the sale price, then I wouldn't buy them until I made sure that nobody else was coming. No need to screw anyone else out of the deal. I know how it feels when somebody buys every last find.

I got mine in last night. I put it together and read the manuel twice and damn is it a hard game.

Yeah, I am excited but after reading the IGN review I'm afraid I'll get discouraged real quick. Oh well, it's so worth it. Just think of it like this: You know that sometime, somewhere, these VT's will (or are) actually be developed. Then, when they are built, the engineers will say "o fux, whos gonna drive these things?", and us SB owners will step up and say "It's cool, we'll take it from here", then fire those mechs up and blast into battle.

You KNOW that this game wasn't developed as a game, but as a secret government training program to prepare todays coordinated and technologically adept future leaders for the giant robot madness that lies in the near future.

*Edit: Now I just need one of these and I will be set!

Maybe they should have added a damn tutorial if they wanted to train us (they throw you into the thick of action).

I know its over. Im just wondering how much i'll care later. Right now im still trying to get Saturn w/NiGHTS that i could have gotten pretty much new and cheap after the "fallout"...but i didnt. now im stuck watching Game Crazys (found one...defective of course) and ebay.
Diference of course, is that ive never played the game (sb). I dont even know if i should care that i missed the deal, or just go back to finnaly finishing Shenmue 2.
