A new Chrono game in the works?

We can only hope it's not just some mock-up a random message board denizen made. If it is official though, it's fairly obvious that it's a new Chrono game. In which case, I'll need some new pants.

The title says "Chrono Trigger-- Time of...something". I dunno what the last kanji is. And yeah, if this is real, consider my pants creamed.

Truthfully, though, I get the feeling it isn't. Maybe it's just me. But, if they had been developing it in order to have it ready for a 2005 release, you'd think we'd have known about it...

Chrono Trigger is simply the best videogame ever made. It was made in an era where story and gameplay meant so much more than graphics. Even with that said, the graphics were pretty good compared to games back in that era.

I hope not. Not because I hate the Chrono series but most of the main contributors to the original series have gone their own separate ways @ Monolith Soft or elsewhere.

In addition look closely at the SE logo near the bottom of the ad. It is a Fake

the sprite/2D graphics were reaching the peak on the SNES at the time.. you'll find better 2D graphic wise.. but never ever better gameplay.. it worked the Turned Based Square system to the best it ever was. also a break through in Non-linear v-games something like 15 endings. I suggest an emulator or SNES as I hear the load times kill it for PS1 (but I don't think it'd be that bad..) it was cool that it had a New Game + mode.. more RPGs should have that mode while more RPGs should strive to be Neverwinter Nights though..

If you only play one game. I can honestly say this would be the One game I would choose. well this or Street Fighter 2 turbo.

Yeah and of course when this falls through thats its shens they're going to be blamed for spreading rumors, etc. and will have alienated even more Chrono fans. For future references, if Square-Enix doesnt announced the game != true

chrono trigger is one of the best rpg's ever. but I didn't like chrono cross much - I still haven't finished it yet. The game and characters weren't as charming as the first one, plus I think it took itself too seriously.

If I remember my Japanese correctly, that title, the black with blue outline, says Chrono Trigger. Then the blue text right blue says "Minute(s)" (It goes after the number for when you want to specify time) "no" (means the time belongs to the word next to it) and I'm not sure what the next word is. So I think it's some fake picture. Though I haven't had Japanese in almost a year, so I could be wrong.

Oh, please, Lord, I've been ever so good, PLEASE let this be real. Even if it were just the original Chrono-Trigger with updated graphics or FMV cutscenes, that would be awesome enough.

I hope to God that the poster is true and that it is an announcement for a secretly developed Chrono game since the Chrono series is my favorite series of games and my favorite games. Like Lunar is to Rig, Chrono is to me. I love it. The game is absolutely the best, the best, RPG I have ever played. Period, end of story. The only thing that comes close to them are the DW series and KOTOR/Tales of Symphonia.

What did ever happen to that team working on the Chrono Trigger 3D remake? Last I had heard they were ordered a ceast and desist from Square Enix for copyright infringment (or something). Anyone have a link?
