Wow I remembered when they started to have those Mature Rating games, all you had to do is put ur birthdate to access this.

I can access the normal doom3 website thru idsoftware.

But I was just trying to go to http://www.activision.com to know more about the xbox version.

Click on that big picture of Doom 3 turns out that now you have to put in the birthdate, that was no problem, now additional is you have to put in credit card number to read this.

Not everyone has a credit card but I feel like I am forseeing the future it might become more common to do this on other websites.

More stricter? Sorry, I'm not usually into policing grammar, but sheesh.

Kids can just make up credit card numbers... I get annoyed having to provide my birthdate.

Seriously, when I first saw this back a few months ago, it was for that Vampires game coming out for PC.. I thought it was photoshopped, but it's doing it to me, it's asking for a fucking credit card number.. seriously, what teh hell activision!? that's retarded!

Im not giving my credit card number just to see a site. It isnt likely, but maybe they will start hiding a fee for viewing a site.

Like a kid just won't go to Gamespot or IGN to see videos and screens, right? Come on, that's just ridiculous. Not everyone over 18 has credit cards either (i.e., me).

It's pretty stupid that you have to have a CC number to get to the Doom 3 site through Activision. If I ever went to the site I would just put in a fake CC number. They don't need to know my real CC number.

Sounds like Activision has taken up HARDCORE PORN to turn a profit.

either that or they're just doing it to slow down traffic on their site.
