What do you guys think is the best version of these titles?

Prince of Persia Sands of Time
Guilty Gear X2

Guilty Gear X2 can be played on Live, so I'd go with the Xbox version. (Buy an arcade stick!)
Prince of Persia SoT has both PoP 1&2, while the GC and PS2 version don't have both. (I think. Correct me if I am wrong.)

Xbox for both. =)

I don't really play on Live anymore, and if I did I wouldn't play GG online because I would get my ass handed to me so does that change your answer?

Nah. I owned both PS2 and Xbox copies of the game, and there really wasn't a difference. IIRC, the Xbox version had a few exclusives, but I may be wrong.

I think it'd come down to which controller you;d rather play on at that point.

GGX2 on Ps2 all the way. I have both and playing on an XBOX controller ruins the game for me.
The only "extra" on Xbox (apart from Live play) is the fact that the 3 secret characters are available from the start, which kinda takes away the fun/replay value from trying to unlock them.

Oh. So that's what the exclusive stuff was. I would say, go with whichever ones controller you prefer. However, you should be playing fighting games with arcade sticks. Much better, IMO.

Xbox for both. You'll thank yourself getting POP for the xbox as there are a few glitches in all the versions of POP:WW where you;ll have to backtrack on your saved games to finsh the game. You'll need all the save game slots you can get.

For SoT get the Xbox since it has the 2 PC PoP.

I am sorry, but the Guilty Gear on Xbox and PS2 are different game. The game on PS2 is Gulity Gear X2 and the game on Xbox is Guilty Gear X2 # reload (There is a reload for PS2 but thats Japan only). That like saying Street fighter double impact and Third strike are the same. At high level game play those differences are very important, which significant change to timing and other things. As for the extra character, the Robo Ky in Reload is completely different than the Robo Ky in the regualr version.

I agree with this guy on both points ... I have SoT for xbox, Guilty Gear X2 and X2 #Reload for the XBOX, and they are different games. The XBOX version is worth the $$$ :)

Get yourself an arcade stick with a converter and it doesn't matter what controller the system has :)

Definitely get the XBox version of Prince of Persia- not only does it have the extras missing from the other versions, it's also stunningly more fluid than the other versions. The XBox version also has a higher polygon count - the Prince's fingers are individual polygons instead of a texture map on a single polygon in the GC and PS2 versions.

I think GGX2 will give you the most replay value, on or off line.

Well if looks like I'll be getting SoT for Xbox. I figured I would. I'll have to think about Guilty Gear. I wouldn't like to play fighting games with an Xbox controller....

What do you guys think the best version of Beyond Good and Evil is? I bet you'll say Xbox.

Well I wont said the Xbox version is better, all you really can said is they are different.

As for BG&E, Xbox is still the best version to get since the gamecube verison is missing the ability to right click the c stick.

Not to thread crap.. but for Prince of Persia, does it really matter?

I mean certain games that were DESIGNED for the xbox like Splinter Cell are most obviously better on it. Even Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance which was designed for the PS2 works better on that system rather than the others.

To my knowledge, POP: SoT was made for all three in tandem.. wouldn't tha hardware simply decide which version is the best (read: xbox)?

How about these:

SF:AC
Capcom Fighting Evolutions (I think that's the title)
SVC Chaos

This will affect a very small amount of people, but the GC version of PoP can be used to unlock extra content in the GBA PoP game (with the GC/GBA link cable). Probably won't sway people either way, but I figured I'd mention it for the sake of completion. Anyone with the GBA game might want to go for the GC version.

SVC Chaos

Isn't Chaos an Xbox exclusive?

SVC:Chaos is only on Xbox in the US. There is a PS2 version in Japan and PAL. As for the other games,
SFAC - Xbox for live
CFE - not out but agian Xbox for live.

For CFE and SFAC, I'm pretty sure there's very little difference if you don't intend to play on Live.

Also, stay far, faaaaaaaaaaar away from SVC Chaos. I bought it during TRU's B2G1 sale in the fall since the store was out of a lot of games I wanted and the demo I played was pretty fun, but I had to sell the game for a mere $16 because it was so bad. Multiplayer with a skilled friend is alright, but otherwise, the game is below average (although not horrible) and Live play is terrible (although that likely wouldn't matter to you).

Thanks for the info. Does SVC Chaos use the SNK fighting style only? I hate their style.....

And yeah I really wouldn't want to play a 2D fighter online, plus I'd get my ass kicked.
