Brando, Hori, or JAVOedge screen protectors?

Which one of these are worth getting? I have the Pelican one currently and it's not that great. It looks good on there, but when I play my PSP it makes the screen look fuzzy. So I need new ones and I'm wondering out of these 3 which are the best to get. I don't care much about the price, because Hori is cheaper but it might not be as good as the other 2.

I have a HORI, the quality is REALLY GOOD.

It's really hard to do a perfect install of it though, but once it's on you can barely tell it's there. Pretty good deal at 5 bucks (sold at EBgames!)...

Martin Fields is really great also... a bit pricey at $12 or so but well worth the quality and transparency.

Well, fuck it. It comes with two pieces and both are now garbage. Apparently, it is a combination of static and glue. But if ANYTHING touches that glue, it is now a part of the screen protector. No way to to remove it without leaving trails in the glue which show up as air bubbles when installed. And the thing is, I already had a small spec of dust attached to my large screen protector from the get go. Before I even opened the damn thing I was already shit out of luck! I am so pissed that I had to wait two fucking weeks (during which my psp still got scratched while in the official psp case supplied by Sony) and paid $15 for this hunk of shit. Fuck Brando! Waste of my time and money. WTF! I could have just took $15 and threw it out the god damn window, at least I would have not have wasted any time. And the thing is, they say you can reapply it if you mess up the first time. I'm sure that situation may apply to static type screen protectors, but it does NOT work for adhesive ones. Fuck Brando. Hope they all burn in hell.

Lol, I say go with a Hori protector, or complain. I complained to Martin Fields due to my screen protector being scratched by a credit card and they're sending a replacement. You already wasted 15 bucks, so you might as well go the cheapest route and complain, or the other route and buy a hori. Hopefully this time you'll do better.

If this is like most of the other screen protectors, which I think it is, all you have to do to take dust off is use some masking tape. IT doesn't affect the adhesive on the protector at all. Oh, and calm down...

While we're on the topic of screens, does anyone have any tips on removing fine scratches on the screen? I've got like 1 or 2 that are visible on a black screen(e.g. the darkstalkers loading screen) and I'd like to get rid of them.. The gamefaqs people are recommending displex and novus or some stuff like that..

On masking tape... not a bad idea. However, the adhesive fell off the right side anyway so it is now garbage. Good advice though. I picked up a different brand and will try the masking tape method if I have problems but hopefully everything will go smoothly. One thing about the Brando one though, it sure looked slick since it covered more than just the screen. Nice design. Looks like tha Javascreen one is the same design minus the adhesive. Might get that down the road. I bought a cheapo screen protector locally and will put it on tonight until I find something better.

The protector itself is between two sheets of plastic, one sheet has a blue tab, the other a red tab. Slowly remove the red tabbed sheet from the other two, revealing the sticky side of the screen protector and then line up that side on the screen. When it's on, peel off the blue tabbed side that is on top, and what's left will be the Hori on the screen. No bubbles , and I had a few dust specs, but all you have to do is use scotch tape and lift the screen protector back up and use the tape to get all of it off, and lay the screen protector back down. No problems whatsoever.

Most important part is to read the instructions, I had difficulty getting the red tabbed sheet off at first, but after I let it sit for about 3 minutes or so, it came off easily...I think it has something to do with the humidity in the air.

It looks crystal clear--I honestly couldn't tell the difference between it being on/off unless I checked the border of the screen--people that see it will not notice it whatsoever.

Yes hori is the shitz... when I applyed it, it just sucked on to the screen... I don't know how to describe it. but the pretector almost looked wet when applyed to the psp...

Just got my replacement for the Martin Fields protector I scratched up. This thing is amazing! It is extremely clear.. I don't even notice it while playing! This time I used a different method to put it on though.

Starting from after I took off the old one.

1. Wiped off the screen and left the cleaning cloth in place on top of the screen.
2. Took the screen protector off the plastic sheet to protect the static side.
3. Ran the static cling side under water to get off dust/smooth out the applying process.
4. Wiped off the screen one last time.
5. Placed it on.
6. Used a card with 4 layers of the cloth wrapped on it to get out the water bubbles.
7. Did a monkey dance, similar to something king kong would do, to celebrate.

I got the Hori screen protector from eStarland, and for the price and ease to apply it, I'm not complaining. So far it's great.

Seems like Javoedge has a new type of screen protector, just like Boxwave does..

I got my Javoedge Anti-glare screen protector and it went on pretty easily, just that it got really dusty.. Any tips for that? It's apparently washable, but I don't know how to dry it without getting more dust on it...

Outside of the dust thing, I'm pretty satisfied with the screen protector. It doesn't detract from image quality too much(similar to the Hori, which I had tried time and time again to apply but failed) and it covers most of the PSP face, so fingerprints are not a problem.
