I was customizing my soundtrack and I am amazed at the amount of music they included with the game. Nice variety too. I was VERY happy when I saw Toby Lightman's "Devils and Angels" on the game :applause: . Man, I love that song (too bad they didn't have the accoustic version but I'll take any Toby I can get, lol).

Yes, welcome to 2004, I know....

Pretty good IMO. Not as good as Burnout 3 or GT4 but still nice.

I think I should keep only a few of my racing games and sell the rest.

When PGR 2 first came out I put well over 100 hours into it and had almost every car unlocked. VERY good game if you have the patience to retry levels over and over to get the Gold and Platinum medals.

One of the best arcade racers ever, maybe the best period.
Only thing it lacked was the 60fps frame rate, 30fps brought it down alot, and wasn't as fast paced as it could have been.

Very good game, addictive for some strange reason, great over live as well, if you want me and some other buddies of mine play it once every so often, so we will hit you up with an invite

This game has the best soundtrack interface I've ever seen. GREAT variety of music, very easy to manage the music while you are driving, and of course custom soundtracks.

I also liked its online setup the best out of anything on XBL, even Halo 2.

Wouldn't this be considered a simulation racer? I know it doesn't have all the car management and tuning options like Grand Turismo, but it sill plays like one.

Not at all. It controls like an arcade racer, which makes it one.

Besides, I don't think it has ANY car tuning options at all.

I'd like a racing game where there isn't 1000 cars and a bunch of tuning options that I don't understand at all.

I might have to get this game.

You would really like Burnout 3 then. Go rent it and thank me later.

If anyone wants to play later send me an invite at Ultimate Matt X. I'm terrible, but wouldn't mind getting back into this game.

This game is fantastic pure arcade racing. It can't really be called a sim because there is a ton of powersliding (it's encouraged), and you can take some turns going way faster than humanly possible and still keep the car on the road. Not quite realistic, but damn fun! It plays incredibly well over xbox live (little to no lag at all), and you can even download people's ghosts to race against, or even just to watch and see how they completed challenges that you can't quite beat. Really innovative stuff!:applause:

Bring on PGR3!!!

About time you got another game for Live. I should be around later this evening to get my ass kicked in this.

It's one of the classic Xbox Live games. The Content Download available for that game is actually worth paying for. I also like the strange gametypes that people made up on their own. Example: Cat and Mouse. If I can find a handful of people that would want to try that gametype out (or others), then I'll see ya on the track.

PGR2 is one of my all time favorite games. I've spent well over 300 hours total on Live & single player. Cant wait for PGR3.

PGR2 is amazing. It's one of my favorite racers ever. While it's arcade-y, it just ... feels real. And since I understand absolutely nothing about cars or how to drive one fast and stay in control, I like that.

PGR 2 is a great game. Getting all of the platinum metals was insanely tuff. Frustrating as fucking hell, but worth it at the end. Only knock that I had was that only 8 players could compete online at a time.

We definitely need to set up some races soon. I'm rusty as hell but it would still be fun.
