I thought this was a port of the same HL2 that came out for the PC last year...wouldn't all the story elements be the same as what you've read about the game for the past 8 months?

i dont own hl2, nor heavily investigated the plotline, i focused on gameplay, and graphics, i figured i didnt want to spoil the plot, since i was going to buy it, until i did, and my PC wasnt up to par, and i sold it

....i would highly recomend this game for xbox owners...(if the port is decent)
It is a great gaming experience on the PC.. and for those that can get it on xbox are in for a treat. (imo)

Although I loved Half Life on PC and would love to have HL2 come to the xbox...if they drop xb live support...it'll die a quick death - even if the game is great.

I never thought about that.. Vivendi is so strict regarding Steam and whatnot on Half-Life 2.. if it comes to XBox, it'd have to have Steam built into it (God forbid) or it won't have online support.. there's no way that VUG will let Microsoft host servers for it. Come on, they wouldn't let Gabe have WON, they won't let Bill have Microsoft support.. this should be interesting.

hl2 is one of my favorite games of all time the first time through, but when i replayed the game, it sort of lost its "touch". i still highly recommend it. will the game be the same as the pc version?

thats what i though, but honestly, who knows. id software and VV did an amazing job with DOOM III for xbox, but hl2 is a more advanced game, graphically. i have faith in valve. they wouldnt release their series on the xbox if it couldnt do the game justice

I think they'll do an OK job of this port. Naturally PC-elitist dickheads will say it's terrible because the XBox is "evil" and "sucks" but if it comes off as well as the Doom 3 conversion from PC-to-console did it should be a pretty damn good game. I already have the PC version so I probably won't be buying it again, but for anyone who doesn't have a really good computer I'm assuming Valve will do it justice.

Wonder if they're going to have HL2 DM as the multiplayer...somehow I doubt it'll be like the PC version where Counter-Strike was the pack-in multiplayer.
