Well I wouldn't buy it thinking the collector's edition is going to be worth anything or be hard to find. I went and paid my preorder in full last week, but I am a bioware slut. Also I say if you really want the game just go ahead and buy it. I don't think this game will drop for awhile though. Just because you are a CAG doesn't mean you can't buy some games at full price. :D

It's a pretty good CE. An extra character and I think there's an extra fighting style too. It's getting great reviews too, so I think it's worth it.

I'm planning on ordering it for full price next week. I can't wait to get it. You should read the reviews to see if you think it is worth it OP.
For me, any Bioware RPG is worth full price.

Eh, I'm sure it will sell like hotcakes. Just depends on if you want to play it now and be wowed by something that's brand new and just rolled off the production line, or play it a year from now, still be somewhat impressed, but save $30.

its a collector's edition like MechAssault2. They are all CEs for the first initial shipment, which should be large considering the hype behind the game. As working at EB, I have seen lots of the MA2:LE come through PO. So you can always find a PO a month after the game release. As for how good Jade Empire is, we will find out on Tuesday when it releases. Reviews so far point to yes that you should pick it up. IGN gave it a 9.9; highest rated XBox game on their site if I recall correctly.

I agree, but this is also a double edged sword, as RPGs require a larger commitement than other games. I've found that after paying $10 for a game, you "value" it a little less than a game you pay full price for, and thus might not be inclined to play/finish it. By "value", I mean obligation to play. If I pay $50 for a game, I'd feel the need to play and get my money out of it (even if it wasn't the best game).

the game is worth $50, but if you are patient, and you have enough games to play now, the game will be just as good 6-10 months down the road. you should get it, but if you are having a hard time paying 50 for the game, wait until its cheaper, or wait until best buy or circuit city sell it for 35-40.

I'll wait till I can get this for $10... or less....
