Well lets see they killed off Dr. Jeckel in the first 5 minutes and it was all down hill from there.

I thought it was a decent leave your mind at the door action movie...like the rest of Stephen Sommers' work it's not exactly designed to scare you or have the greatest drama ever, but just make you enjoy some decent special effects and action. It had some issues (somebody tell the Count to dial back the overacting) but for a mindless action/popcorn flick I found it served it's purpose.

That's what I was expecting but there was too much dialogue and none of it made much sense or advanced the plot. I'd even say Eps I and II trounce Van Helsing in the dialogue department... "The sand is so coarse and it gets everywhere!!!!!" (or something like that)...

The worst thing about Van Helsing was the acting. The whole premise wasn't bad but if they had decent actors they could have pulled it off. The guy who played Dracula was just horrible and beyond campy.

Yep, the movie was really horrible. The only good thing about the whole movie was Kate Beckinsale was in it.

Yeah, I was like "a live-action Vampire Hunter D, sweet!" How they couldn't make a halfway decent movie is beyond me.

I thought it was okay. An alright way to kill a couple of hours. I kinda enjoyed the last fight with Van Hellsing and Dracula and was pretty suprised with what happend to miss beckingsale.

I loved Van Helsing, thought it was great. Then again, I'm not a fanboy of any specific fantasy character or storyline, I just enjoyed it for what it was. I also loved Queen of the Damned, which I thought it was very similar to, except without the great music from Jon Davis.

There are worse ways to spend 110 Million dollars, if the whole movie had been like the black and white opening I might have been a true fan of this movie, still overlooking alot its a decent if uninspired flick. I say make a sequel and spend 240 mill, then lets see what we get.

I really hated that I spent $7 to go see it at the theater, it was really a waste, and I found the story to be somewhat dumb. It was good at the beginning for the first 10 or 15 mins.

I slept thru it 3 times in the middle of the day wheh it first came out on DVD. The movie that put me to sleep because it's so boring and dull is Batman and Robin. 25 times tried to watch that fucking movie and 25 times out cold.

I didn't think it was that bad. Yeah, Dracula was hamming it up, and it's logic was a bit spotty, but I figure it's a whip away from being a Castlevania movie, and that's alright by me.

I remember watching this movie in the theater... IT WAS FREAKING HORRIBLE!!!! I couldn't believe what I was watching or hearing. The dialogue just made me laugh through out the whole movie, especially during the serious parts. Even Kate Beckinsale couldn't save this disaster. Very dissapointed, especially since I liked the Mummy (Mummy 2 was okay though).
