Yep. This past saturday, my brother's friend's friend had two friends over here. This one bigger guy was obviously a fellow "nerd" as he was carrying on with me about my collection. "Dude, this guy has a Collector's Edition Doom 3!", I heard him say as he was admiring the game in his hands. And that's the last memory I have of the game. He left and I hung out with friends that night. With all the hustle and bustle, I didn't notice Doom 3 being gone till the next afternoon. To which I searched for an hour or more. It's not like I live in a freakin' mansion, so I covered the whole bottom floor in this hour and payed meticulous attention to the game room and TV room where it "should" be. And of course, to no avail. I've looked more today and I've concluded that he stole my game. It disappoints me obviously because I payed $60 for this game and just got it, but he seemed like such a nice guy. I even played a match of Halo 2 with him. I mean, the game could still be around here--if someone purposely hid it from me! I asked everyone else who circulated my household and they don't know where it is so I think that points to my conclusion. What do y'all think?

The only bad thing about this is there are no witnesses and he could blame others. I had something similar happen to me with a cd player and there was nothing I could do because there were to many suspects. I ended up keying the car of the person I thought stole it though.

he dont know that legal crap, just scare him, but dont make anything that might be usuable as a statement in court, prepare your conversation accordingly

Don't wear a rubber, either. What if his mom as AIDS? Then you would still not have the game and you would be cursed for life from a disease.

you being a don, hence a self respecting italian, probably being a roman catholic, you should be anti-condoms since the holy see himself believed these are a ineffective way of preventing such a disease, nah just smokin, i believe even the holiest of men, can get senile

Well, my brother barely knows the guy and he won't answer his cell. I even had a friend call his cell to see if he was purposely avoiding my calls and he didn't answer her call neither. My brother said he was gonna ask his friend that knows that person well. Very true, help1, I'll admit I'm not very upset about it since I'm contempt with my recent purchase of SC:CT. There would've been some serious vandalizing if he stole that game.

I thought contempt meant you were satisfied with your current situation. Almost humble. Anyone unlazy enough to make a trip to dictionary.com?

Go to his house with some friends. Use the bathroom. Put his toothbrush in your ass. Take picture and mail it to him a week later. ;)

Damn, I'd have to say it does sound like he stole it.

Dude probably figured, I'm in the house of this guy I barely know, and his brother has this game that is valuable + I want. Hell, I'll just take it. He probably showed it off to his buddies and laughed about taking it too... Definitely see if your bro can find out if he was bragging about stealing it. If so call the cops on his fucking ass.

the longer you wait, the less likely you'll recover it. either get the game back, get even, or curl up in the fetal position and visit your happy place. i'd wait in the bushes with a baseball bat and a crackhead. knock his ass out, and give the head a couple of rocks (can be gotten on the cheap) to fvck his world.

Wow, you seem to be a pushover.

I agree with everyone else. You paid $60 for it. Wait in the bushes with a baseball bat.

What do I think? I think people need to stop starting thread titles with completely unnecessary "So"s.

But yeah, call this kid and tell him you're on to him.

You sure seem to be taking it well, I would be livid personally. Hope it works out for you.

Really.... I had the same thing happen to me, only by a close friend... he stole LUNAR 2. Now, maybe you don't like Doom as much as I liked LUNAR, but the purposeful hurt and non-caring that the person gave should not be tolerated. I understand the whole situation, so it is hard to just walk right up to him, but I recommend that you do do something about it.... I don't know what.

Find him and use a baseball bat. You will be surprised how fast he'll find it. If smth like this ever happens to me I won't hasitate even if it means I have to search for his address and fly to another state. You can't take what's mine and paid for :-$

Beat him. Get your brother to rough him up, too.

help1
04-12-2005, 08:35 PM
and if he is stronger than you and could kick your ass, use the tactics that you learned from SC:CT:

Hide in a dark corner.

Knock him out with gas.

When he gets up, jump from a ledge on to his head.

Steal keys, run inside house, steal ALL the games.

Well, my brother just got it his car and I know someone who knows where this guy lives. I know my brother went to some people's houses last weekend and slit their tires, so hopefully I can get him to take me to this guy's. I'm not sure what all I could do, but I know I would enjoy it. :D
