take a break for a year, what would your reaction be? I know, ultimately it sucks. but think of your backlog :D I couldn't decide.

I'd be out of a job
I'd have time to finish a lot of games...

I'd have more money. Maybe that wouldn't be such a bad thing.
Hopefully they would usher in the new generation with a huge ufcking bang.

That's what I was thinking....fresh ideas....no real deadlines....just a huge awesome line up for the systems in about a year or a year and a half. I could dig it. The uproar on gamefaqs the day of the announcement would also provide hours upon hours of rich entertainment.

I think the industry needs a break so they can come back with some new ideas cause god knows gaming needs a fresh breath of air.

I would miss reading about the new products but it would take well over a year for me to get caught up with all the games I already own.

It would only bother me when it comes to sports games. Otherwise, I would have a lot of time to catch up on all of the games that I haven't played yet.

The gaming industry taking a break could only be good in the long run. It would give developers extra time to think up innovative concepts for fresh games. Right now most companies seem to only care about selling just enough copies of a game to finance a sequel. It would also give me some time to catch up on the stack on games I haven't touched or haven't completed. I could probably finish most of them in a year.

i ended up going with relief...I don't have enough current gens to last me a year...but i have enough PS1 rpgs to last me a lifetime.
