i always thought trigun was alright, compared to the other fare on [as]. it was very well done and cool, but vash acted like too much of an idiot for my liking. im more excited that they brought back FLCL, even though i own that.

Trigun I liked quite a bit. It was light-hearted yet action packed. But I bought the DVD collection for $30 last year :D FLCL, however...that I just never liked. Watched it 3 years ago with an anime club at college, I couldn't really see anything redeemable about it, story- or character-wise at least.

I enjoy how after I spent $25 a piece for 8 dvds(limited edition foils baby) they show the whole thing for free, minus a few instances of swearing. Still a nice investment though.
The biggest difference in a show they've played I think would be Rurouni Kenshin, they cut out just about all the violence. The English version makes me sad anyway. Orooooo.

As XboxMaster said, not really since I have the whole thing, and I rather watch that any day than the edited versions.
I agree with you Doyle, it's funny when Kenshin is holding his stomach, but he isn't bleeding. I can imagine someone asking "Why is he holding his stomach? Does he have diarreah?"
The biggest edited show was DBZ in the beginning. I mean man was that badly edited. The part where this guys head falls off and rolls is cut and they just crazy glue his head or something cause it is on in this version. Also when Picollo is training Gohan, about all of that is cut off, like when Picollo smacks the hell out of him leaving him with a bruised up face (hilarious, but left out)

I just don't see the appeal of Dragonball. Believe me I've tried. Trigun on the other hand is awesome. I too have the whole series so I can watch it anytime I want. :D

Does Vash actually ever kill anyone? And is there any blood?

Mr. Anderson, if we answered your 1st question, it would ruin half the story. But there is some blood in the series, it's fairly mild though.

I definitely agree with D4rkeWolfe, unedited is three times better. Especially on Outlaw Star, they cuss alot more on that and even show anime titties :D . Oh, and Ninja Scroll is also awesome unedited, if there is an edited version out there.

Vash does kill Legato Bluesummers and... well, I don't want to ruin the ending. :booty:
EDIT: Thousandth post. Feels a bit anti-climactic...

Although Trigun is a good anime, vash is too wussy for my tastes.
It makes me mad that they would give him such tremendous abilities only for him to squander them and get his butt kicked constantly.
And the whole theme of "violence isn't the answer ever - peace, love, peace, love" is BULLSH*T!

I agree. If someone has that much gun-slingin' power, I want to see some asses kicked. And by kicked, I mean heads exploding by gunshot to the skull.

Yeah, I agree. But I still think it's a great anime.

is Trigun on [adult swim] really edited that much?
