You do realize that DVD Movies are not the same as Consumer DVD -/+ R/RW?

Many movie DVD(s) are larger then 4.7GB and thus you will be force to use a compression scheme (WMV, DivX, etc.) or edit the movie to make it fit (i.e. ignore the special features, etc.).

And you guys do realize that by having this conversation you are inviting people to flame you for bootlegging?

Just download DVD X Copy Xpress, burns perfect copies of just the video and dolby surround sound off a dvd.

Easily overcome. :) I've backed up my copy of Requiem for a Dream, a 8.9 GB dvd, with all menues, extras, various sound formats, and language support. It's very easy.
