I had played about half way through the single player campaign of Doom 3 before this weekend. Graphics are great, it's very scary, and it's very repetitive.... Anyway, Friday night I hook up with a friend on LIVE and start playing co-op. All of a sudden, this game became an absolute blast. We played late into the night, then hooked up again Saturday to play the rest. Probably 6-7 hours all together for co-op (half of the single player campaign). Some of the best and most fun gaming time I've had on this console. The trip to hell itself is worth playing the game for. Too awesome. Unfortunately, after all that I have no motivation at all to continue sp now. Anyone thinking about this game should definately plan it with a friend and experience the co-op. I only hope that more games offer this in the future.

rented it friday and enjoying the hell out single player, I've yet to make it to hell though!
I'm at the end part of the monorail...........
I have a friend who bought the CE and then went home jacked up the brightness on his tv so he didn't need a flashlight and played it on easy and has beaten it already prolly, i'm not sure how far into it he is.. What a waste, but hey it's his dime. :bomb:

Yeah, my friend and I beat it the 2nd day it was out over LIVE. I never even started the single-player cmpaign. I would've, but my copy (CE) was stolen eight days ago.

I've never had a decent enough connection to successfully play co-op and I'm not too far in the campaign. I suppose i shouldn't spoil the game for myself by doing co-op first but I really want to see it work. The lag is really bad, maybe I just need a partner who lives closer. Anyone in Chicago need a sidekick for some zombie face splitting?

You miss alot of the story in co-op. Also, co-op only takes like 3-4 hours to beat. I highly suggest you beat the single player cause while the story isn't THAT GREAT, it's pretty interesting nevertheless.

I've already beaten the game on PC but got a killer deal on the XBOX version I couldn't pass up. I played a little into the single player campaign and it seems like they took a lot of things out. Maybe it's time to play co-op to keep my interest in the game
