i have decided to pick one up, i can resist no longer. i will probavly wait till after e3, though
everybody seems to have them in stock, i have even seen a dozen or so spiderman 2 packs. so where should i buy so i can get some kind of waranty or a palce that is good about returns (if i have dead pixels, or something)
there is bestbuy, circuitcity, hastings (they had the spiderman 2 packs) ebgames, gamecrazy, gamestop, and all the multistores (walmart, shopko, target)

good about returns: Walmart/Target
Terrible warranties available: EB Games, Circuit City, Best Buy, possibly Walmart
Circuit City offers "Product Replacement Plan" which gives you back a voucher for the full cost of the item if it has a problem within the PRP period. The problem is that you'll be without your PSP for 1-2 months as they ship it in, evaluate the claim, and mail you out a check if they deem your claim to be valid.

i thought i had heard that best buys replacement waranty wa good. you could bring it in when there is a new version and trade up, or something like that.
other wise, just take my pick, and stick with sony's manufacturer warranty? i have never bought a waranty an ony electronic i have ever bought, even thou most places have rabid salesman, and i have never had a backfire yet.

From the experience the ones with no spiderman 2 STILL have problems. We have had people return them, although there seems to be 1 or 2 dead pixels at the most, rather then say 6+ and haven't seen any "bubbled" screens yet.
I would also wait till after E3, Sony many announce a price drop or non-bundled pack, and I think more people will trade in their PSPs when the XBox 2 is out.

I bought mine at best buy with the warranty and used my rewards card and will get about $15 back in rewards cash. I have never had a problem with the best buy warranties so I would recommend them if you have a rewards card.

If you don't want the employee hastling you about the warrnty and other accesories, skip Best Buy if you have the chance.
Edit:...ok, maybe it was just me.

You don't have to get it from one of these overpricced places, go to this guide (http://cholliday.blogspot.com/2005/04/guide-to-get-psp-for-super-cheap-or.html)to lead you in a much cheaper direction for getting one, with slightly more work, but for people like me, its worth every ounce of time.

Given a choice, I'd pick Target over any other mass market retailer. Returns are generally hassle-free, and you have up to 90 days.

CostCo has a bundle on the website now...it comes with Twisted Metal for about $286 if I recall correctly. People seem to love the return policy there too.

I disagree when you say EBs warranty is terrible. I think its awesome. They even cover you for physical damage you inflict on the system.
Also check out the PSPforum in my sig :D
