At work today we started putting up signs for our Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal. This will officially start tomorrow, April 22nd. I don't have any solid evidence, such as an ad or anything, but I was there when we received the call about the promotion. Figured I'd give the heads up so people can take advantage of this while they still have good items in stock. I'm not sure if this is YMMV or nation-wide, but I am located at store 1626 in Ventura, CA. Hope this information helps you guys out. If this has already been posted, I do apologize.

I forgot to mention that this is only on used games. Hope this didn't cause any confusion.

This deal is official dead. No reasons given, but corporate stopped the sale. It was initially planned to go until Saturday.

Damn, I hate GS... About a month or two ago when their last B2G1 sale ended I asked if they would be having another one soon and they said they didn't think so - not any time soon. So, since they they've had 2. Whatever.

They (corp.) don't tell anyone shit, most of the time we find out the night before a sale happens.

Yeah, it's all a matter of what they have in stock. Luckily, we've got some decent stuff in at the moment, including all four .hack guides ($1.99 each and one free), Disgaea, some used PSP games, and other goodies with good resell value. So in the worst case, I could pick up two other games with Disgaea for resale and basically end up with a free Disgaea. :-D

I happened to stop by my Gamestop to pick up a cheap Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex for $20 and wound up leaving with that plus dot.hack Parts 2 through 4 for $70 with tax (and yes the discount card does work with the sale too) *watches his wallet blow up in flames*

The B2G1 free deal is good at all GS in SoCal that I went to and most did do the trade 3 get an extra $10 trade in offer also. THe B2G1 free is also good on DVDs for those who want to bulk up in that field.

I just got Disgaea, Resident Evil 3 Gamecube, and Zelda Collectors Edition Gamecube. I need to go back again before its over. This is the way to buy games with the Buy 2 get 3rd free plus 10% off with Gamestop card. Games come out to about half price or less compared to new even when you buy the newer releases.

Yes, you may return any used game you buy within 7 days of purchase for any reason. You don't like it return it but the best way to go about is to exchange it with a game that is of equal value to the game that you got so it won't cause too much confusion. If you don't do it that way you basically will have to pay the difference in the price between the purchased game and the game being exchange for if higher price. If lower price they will just give you back the difference.

It has already been approved because as of Labor Day of 2005 Ebgames won't exist anymore. Because they are renaming them Gamestop. All you had to do is read the info provided on the first page of the thread about the merger.

I was very surprised to see these games available and were complete and in mint condition

Nice finds!! I thought I did great when I got Arc The Lad ($29.99), Lunar:Silver Star Story Complete ($29.99) and Castlevania Chronicles($29.99) - all complete and either very good to mint. With the B2G1 free and my value card I paid $54 + tax. I'd say your deal was even better.

Soul Calibur II (Xbox) $15
Persona (nearly mint condition) $10
Devil May Cry $9 - Free

With my discount card, I paid a tad less than $24. Soul Calibur II and Devil May Cry may have not been the greatest finds, but the selection at that gamestop was rather dull, and I've always meant to buy those two titles. Persona being in their in nearly mint condition was just delicious icing on this... fruit cake?

I went to a couple of Gamestops at lunch to see if the sale was still on and it's over at the 2 locations I went to. Fortunately one of them had a complete, near-mint copy of Suikoden II for $59.99 and the other had Arc the Lad collection (also complete and mint) for $29.99, so it was worth the trip.
