Since it says the first of the month, that means the release date isn't even set yet.. so.. take or add a few weeks, but this bad boy got delayed another quarter.

//edit: PC, PS2 and GC versions, as of this typing still say June 7th, and Gamespot says June 7th for everything else.. but EB was also first in delaying Wrestlemania.. sooo... yeah, who knows.

I though I read somewhere that some games are being delayed for XBox2, although I doubt lockdown is one of them. I think Ubi is just delaying to hit a month where they could get alot of sales and/or release in the holiday season. Lockdown wasn't gonna sell well against Pandora Tomorrow or Ghost Recon 2 and It's own Brothers in Arms.

I can never figure out why people bitch about a game getting delayed. Maybe I am a rare breed, but I appreciate it when a company delays a release because I know they are probably fixing a glitch or adding something new. With all the heaping piles of crap on the market, I'd rather companies actually take their time to put out games you will actually want to keep playing for more than a few hours.

Ok! Biggest disappointment of a delay for 2005 would be Wrestlemania 21 what were they doing to the game to have it delay a month? Played like a beta even with a patch. Still going to keep my copy in hopes of a new fixed batch like no mercy.

I can see your point, but I bet (like someone suggested earlier) that they're holding this back for financial reasons. Although, I've have to halfway agree with you. I thank Bungie for taking such a long time tweaking and perfecting Halo 2's streamlined online experience which is, IMO, the best on the market. Yet, games like the last Tomb Raider and others that were constantly delayed turned out to be crap anyway.

You missed my entire point. The game shouldn't have even been released like that. They should have changed the name to Royal Rumble 2006, fixed up everything, and released it as a next gen title.

here's the breakdown:

EB's release dates is a GUESS.

According to UBI, the game comes out this summer.

Many peopel believe that they delayed it to help their quarter sales and help SC:CT sales.

Expect more news at E3.

Your right! They should have delayed it like that. But it is a decent game for now I like the play mechanics better than raw.

Actually the release date for Lockdown sounds right to me. Almost a year since black arrow.

Confirmed.

Fans of the popular Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six series got some bad news today. After delaying Lockdown from March to April (Q1 of the fiscal year for Ubi) and justifying the bump to "boost the beginning of fiscal year 2005-2006 with estimated sales of 1.5 to 2 million units," Ubisoft has pushed the game back once again.

In Ubisoft's fiscal quarter report, the updated release schedule for the publisher's current fiscal year lists Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lockdown as hitting store shelves sometime between July and September. Lockdown was originally scheduled for a spring release on the Xbox, PlayStation 2, and PC.

It seems as though the game has hit more than just a release window hitch. In addition to its fluctuating shelf date, questions of the game's platforms exist. The newest report mentions nothing of a PC release, but has added the GameCube to its list of platforms. Ubisoft was unavailable for comment as of press time.

Rainbow Six: Lockdown is currently in development by longtime Tom Clancy developers Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Montreal.

Looks like Amazon.com has a correct date listed, though..
