Its been a long time since i played SC1 on DC now playing it today and looking back, it was and still is such a great game. I realy hope SC3 is as good or possibly better(which will be very hard).

I used to be (and I guess still am to an extent) a big Tekken series fan myself. However I recently regained my appreciation for this series. The first one for the Dreamcast still holds up amazingly well to this day, I find hard to believe that it came out over 6 years ago for a console; that and Shenmue made picking up a used DC a few months ago well worth it. I started really playing Soul Calibur II after barely touching it after I got it for cheap a few months ago and found it surprisingly deep, and well and now that I was able to pick up the excellent SC II guide for cheap, I've actually been able to really get decent at it. Ivy simply rocks.

Ever since Soul Blade I've loved this engine. Can't wait for the next entry this year. I bought it for PS2 and got in on the Metal Arms/SCII XBox deal Gamestop had for $18, because I had to see what Spawn was like. He's the shaq-fuin shizznizzle!!

Soul Calibur was THE game for the DC back in the day. Man did I play the crap out of that one. For some reason I couldn't get into SC2 quite as much, but I still played it quite a bit. My hopes for SC3 are pretty high. It's too bad it's not coming out on the XBox, but after seeing Tekken 5 I'm sure they can still pull off some beautiful graphics on the PS2.

why did they have to change the single player mode in 2? Soul Caliber 1 was already flawless
