ok time to vent some steam. This is bull crap no matter how good a car I build or set up the damn game does better. When I am in front they ram my ass from behind . Hell I was 6 seconds ahead in last race last lap and from no where the piece of crap passes me to win. The game is not relistic at all when I go left the damn car should go left. I have had no problems in preivous grand turismo games in fact have done quite well in them. Am I the only dumbass that can't figure this out?

I've also been having a hard time with the learning curve. But I honestly havent spent that much time with it yet.

The game isnt THAT difficult, I've had it since launch, and can safely say that the only thing they changed in the game was the cars tilting when accellerating and braking, oh, and new cars. And If your having that hard a time with the other car hitting you and passing you on the last lap, I cant help but think lack of skill is definatly on your end.

You could try using the rearview mirror and keeping yourself in front of the other car that keeps passing you. This way they can't get by you, and bumping you will slow them down a little too.

The AI in GT4 (hell, all the GTs) is atrocious. Glad to see Forza doing something about it. Hopefully it'll make Polyphony step their game up.

Handling in all Gran Turismo games is way off, at 60mph I can pull a tighter turn in my real life '98 Plymoth Breeze than any ingame car except the F1s.
And I have tried it, too.
Brake BEFORE you turn, if you are not doing that already.

If cars are catchng up to you get a lighter car with higher horsepower (avoid awd/4wd cars, theyre usually the heaviest). Also, how many aspec points are these races you keep losing?

THANK YOU QUACKZILLA....people used to look at me like I was sniffin glue when I'd say that GT3 had one of the most questionable "REALISTIC" driving models out there. Almost as bad as the "Car turning on a center axis" control of Colin McRae rally games.........people praise that game too for its 'realism' when the cars in that game control more like those carts on a tilt-a-whirl ride at the state fair.
In GT3, with a Mustang Cobra, at 30 mph your car has the turning radius of an 18 wheeler, and you will do 4 wheel drifts and slides like every track was made of ice no matter WHAT speed you are going.
Meanwhile every other AI racer perfectly executes every single S-Turn, blind curve, and so on....meanwhile with the best tires in the game at the exact same speed, you can't keep the same racing line as the car in front of you. Whack-ass indeed.
I own a Mustang, and its a Cobra, and that car with 9" wide rubber will stick to an offramp at 60mph without breaking the ass-end loose at moderate throttle. Obviously there is some Japanese bias in this game, but its comical the way the GT3 and 4 AI perfectly executes laps every single time. They're bumper cars, little more.
As Gilbert Godfried once said..."Sony...>WWHHHAT THE FAAAAQ!!!?<"
