This happens to me at least once a year. No joke.

Two years ago I was driving and saw what looked like a complete 200 CD case on the road. It was 55 mph and I was on lunch but what the heck CD's can stand getting run over a few times and still be good.

So I stopped and ran out there to get it. Guess what it was a zip up notebook filled with carkeys, vehicle titles, over $300 of restaurant gift certs. I tried to contact the person but came up empty handed. So I let it sit in my computer room for a long time and forgot about it. Then recently I opened it up to discover most the of the restaurant GC's had expired. There are some non expiring ones that I will use. I also found a B-day card opened it up and what do you know $100 cash. signed Dad. So I left the money and tried to find the guy again. No such luck.
The $100 paid some bills.

Next story last year I was pulling out of a shell and saw some money on the road. I stopped found a five..... another five, a couple ones, a ten!, then a twenty!, and a Fiftey!!. Total was like $120 then I slowly looked around and was about to get it my car. I was definately going to spend this dough as who could I give it to? Then I found a small leather license protector and a 18 year olds license. With a personal check.... on the memo of the check was happy graduation or some such thing. Obviously I then contacted the guy and gave his workplace the stuff to return to him.

This last one I just simply found a wallet at a gas pump. I live near lansing and figured it wasnt the best idea to give it to the attendant. So I used my wifes links at sams club to get his home number. Gave the guy a call and guess what hes a senator for Michigan! I dropped the wallet off to him in lansing and he insisted on meeting me. He had given me a sealed envelope and talked with me for a few minutes. Later that day I opened the thank you note and found a crisp $100. Again bills.

I have found lots of money! I have found a 300 dolar envelope in a storm drain gutter. FOund 1000 in an envelope by the outside dumpster of a burgerking. Allways finding 20, 10, 5.

First I should explain. I work of a apartment complex. I pick up the grounds and do the landsacping. People drop money around this place like nobodys bussiness. Anyways the 300 gave to family memebrs since it was close to christmas and kept a hundred. 1000 bought new furniture sice i was moving into my first apartment a week later and didn,t have anything!

20,10,5 I take to the gas station and gamble with it! i have won 500 a few times because of this!

The other day I found a $10 bill on the ground at work. I asked around and eventually found the owner. Whenever I find money like that, I try my hardest to find the owner.

Although, sometimes the ending isn;t too good....I was once at a restaurant and found a $20 bill. I gave it to a worker since I figured someone would be asking around looking for the money if they realized they had lost it. Anyway, the worker pocketed the money the second I gave it to them.....

If I were to find $50, I would just try to find the owner.

Last time I found money was a $20 on school grounds in 11th grade, naturally I kept it. Surprisingly I lost my wallet in 12th grade that had over $100 in it, it was returned without so much as a dollar missing guess i'm just lucky. Why did you decide to bump your year old topic? I found a 10 once, that's the most I ever found. I was at mahoney's (a garden/flower store chain), and was walking through a greenhouse. They had a trash can filled with branches and flower petals, and right on top of it was sitting a $10 bill. I think I found a dollar once to. I figured I'd find a bunch of loonies and toonies (or dollar coins and 2 dollar coins) in canada, but it seems like people actually keep track of their change when it has value, as I didn't find any.

Well, I did find a wallet with about 200 outside a grocery store when I was like 8, but my mom insisted on returning it. I also found a dog while going to my SAT's (I have no idea why, I saw a dog when driving by a pizza place and thought it was strange, so I stopped and checked his tags for some reason), checked the tags and called the person up (it was like 7:30 a.m.), and they came down. Problem was the dog decided he didn't want to be near me any longer (it was a golden retriever), and I was afraid he'd bit me (he looked like he went to, since he put his mouth near my hand since I was holding his collar) so he took off into the woods. I felt bad, the guy came with his little daughter (about 5), and I had to tell them it ran off. He looked like he was about to give me a reward until I told him he ran off.
