Created this thread so people can post their custom skins for the PSP playgear case.

On a side note, for the people that actualy created the skins. Post the file(s) so people can download them if you like to share.

UPDATE
For those of you that don't know. There are two removable foam inserts, one in the front and the other on the back of the playgear case. The case itself is crystal clear and only the foam is black. By removing the foam inserts you can sandwhich your desired graphic between the two pieces and you get what you see below.

Found a new template thanks to psp.turbosweet.com (http://psp.turbosweet.com/). Zip file contains Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and .PNG versions. And are at 200dpi

im guessing you just remove the foam part of the case and use that as a template to cut out of a magazine? Sounds cool to me! I'll have to give it a shot when I find a cool enough pic.

The Jade Empire one is mine. Yeah you remove the foam thingy in the case and place the 'skin' in the case. What I did was rip out the Jade Empire ad from one of my free magazines (in this case, FHM), and placed the Logitech case over the ad. Then used a pen to trace around the case and cut it out. Had to trim a few sides to get it to fit. Looks pretty nice though...I might have to make one with the God of War ad since it seems weird to have a Xbox game ad on a PSP case :P

i found a psp ad in the lastes playstation magazine with wipeout simply shown on a PSP. The PSP is actual size though, so I cut it out and used it as a skin.. its kinda cool to see the psp "through" the case.

i'd go for hitman cuz it looks a little cleaner and better than the ninja gaiden one. and ninja gaiden is only on xbox. so an xbox game on a psp is kinda weird. just my opinion though

ah, sorry i've never tried GIMP but i'm still surprised it didn't print properly from gimp, maybe try loooking in your image size settings? have you ever tried printing a cd cover or a dvd cover from gimp?

probably because of your program reading the dpi wrong. it should print ~7" x 3.5".

set the width to 7" and print super low quality to see it will work, then print high (altho the one you have is proabably low res, based on your program thinking it is 2.5")

Though I'm sure the case provides great protection, it seemed to add quite a bit of annoying bulk, so I didn't really pay much attention to all the hype and demand. These skins, though, are making me actually inclined to maybe pick one up (I saw about 5 sitting in my local GameRush two days ago). Maybe being the key word; it sure doesn't make the PSP more portable. (I'm more likely to get a simple leather slipcase w/ belt-loop.)

wow, those skins are crazy!

I made 2 myself here... but... I'm still very confused... How exactly do I print them out in the CORRECT size? I mean... I'm a noob at printing things out and make them exactly how it would appear...(or how the measurement of the object is)

Please show me how to print them out in correct size. Oh yea, I have a monochrome laser printer, so it's b/w. I will most likely bring it to Kinko or some public printing services to do this.(burn image onto disc probably)

i know borderless skins need to be about 6.8 inches wide, you can do that in any paint program. the bordered ones... i don't remember the exact size

I got a few; they're huge pics, at 150 pixels/inch resolution, so they are a bit more detailed when printed out. They're the right size, I've test printed them, they just appear bigger because of the higher resolution, so no need to resize. I'll do more girl ones if you guys want, but if there are no requests I'm leaving them as is.

No need to resize if you have some sort of photo editing software (MS Paint works), it should print fine as is. The picture appears bigger because it is 150 pixels per inch (normally it is 72 pix/inch). It just means that it'll be printed in more details per inch given that your printer is at least of decent quality.

After seeing this thread it prompted me to do the same to my case. I don't have a good printer right now, so I had to take the "cut it out of a magazine/comic book route. I grabbed it from an ad for Flatout in the newest OPM mag and thought it looked kind of amusing in the case..hehe.

Question Gang (First off LOVE You guys skins, GREAT CREATIVITY!!).....Okay back to the question: For the double sided (One Pic for both sides), did you combine two templates into one or did one side then estimated your pic positioning to do the other side? If you did the second, I think a combo template of top and bottom (so you can drop your pic straight in) would be a good idea (I know it sounds lazy). Also, are there any templates without the borders?
