My friend and I are thinking of starting a small site, mostly just a forum, but maybe some extras for our clan, The Jihad Sqaud (yes, that's spelled right). Anyway, just looking for some cheap, basic webhosting, the only requirement is that it's php compatible. Thanks in advance.

Try www.xplosivehosting.com
That's What my friend and I use and the guy that runs the site is a great friend of mine. Great site too and he's very knowledgeable. Also pretty decent prices IMO.

Um, I could recomend lifelesspeople.com, but your have to post on the forum to get the points to pay for your site...
On the other hand, theres some good discussions on there so it isn't hard to get enough points

I can set you up with a simple plan. I work through BIPMedia, here are the plans: http://bipmedia.com/services/web_hosting.shtml email me at nathan@nathanbolender.com and I can get you set up.
They are reliable as well, as my website is hosted there and it has not gone down as of yet.

Yes, basically L2P is free except for a little bit of time spent at the forums...

1and1.com has hosting for $4.99/month and they give you a free domain name.
I've been using them for awhile. Although the "Home" hosting plan is only $5, they don't skimp on what you get. You get the same professional features as their other business hosting accounts, which iincludes a great admin interface.
