I left out the original Zelda since I felt Wind Waker was a snazzier and more inclusive update of the classic. The funny thing is despite all of my Nintendo selections, I never even owned an NES.

super mario bros is absolutely the most classical tune for me of all time. i have it as a ringtone on my cell phone. aside from that the tunes that i most often recall are from contra, street fighter 2, ninja turtles theme song, and metal gear solid 1 and 2.

Agreed. Sephiroth's One Winged Angel theme was one of the most memorable (as was Aerith's theme from FFVII.) However, my vote would have to go to the ending credit theme for Tekken2. I still pull that out to listen to it from time to time.

Yeah, the music from Final Fantasy VII is amazing. I listen to mostly hip hop, but I love just chillin out sometimes and listening to music from the game.
