I never understood that type of auction.
Is that a rare game? If not, who in the world would bid on 12 of the same game? A lot with different titles is one thing.

You simply state the amount that you want to bid on and your maximum bid. At the end of the auction, it sorts highest price bidders and fulfills their orders first.

Oh, I read the auction too fast. Okay.
Upon reading it, I saw "Free Ship!" But a 3.00 "handling fee".....

I noticed this person's auctions earlier today. He's also got a ton of copies of Mario Tennis, Mario RPG, etc... It's unfortunate, but he probably cleaned out every GC within 100 miles.

I hate that person, what an ahole. But of course, some people here would do the same, so I better not really state how I feel otherwise someone might get offended because they want to "make money" in the same way.

I wouldn't worry it's quite common practice to flame hoarders.:D
I wonder if this sale is going to effect classic game prices on ebay much.

Stupid hoarders stealing my Super Puzzle Fighter II.
Anyone know if the GC sale is still going on or was it for the weekend only, I think there may be 2 more I can search at.
I hope he loses money on this. And then distributes the games for approx. cost + shipping to CHEAPASSGAMER WHERE HE HEARD ABOUT THE SALE TO BEGIN WITH. Fucking ass.
If you ask me the profit from this isn't worth the effort.

I heard that it will be going on for 3 weeks.
Who would buy old N64 games listed 'as is' :dunce:
Gamecrazy gives you a 90 day return window. (Pretty damn generious IMO)

I got a reply back from him and he says he's been to 12 stores.

you can't stop people from trying to make money off of a deal.. best idea then is to beat them to the sales.

Or kill them, thus ending any future competition...wait, it isn't even really competition, just being a prick.
You'd be doing the world a favor!

i will admit i picked up a few games to put on ebay from gamecrazy but of the 30 games i got maybe only 3 or less will move to ebay. I picked up the few on ebay cause i really couldnt find another game to complete the 3 you needed to get
but when i did pick up games it was just 1 copy and ususally there was more left. Ie the games i picked up
fighter maker rpg maker and diablo oo and enforcers for the ps1
so i guess that is 4 games i would of kept the enforcers game but cant find a cheap gun to play it anyplace.
most the games will go into my collection or will be traded off when i bored with them what is 3 already (tetris plus, Family fun pack and Point blank 3 (again no gun makes it less fun)
though i dont have any of them up on ebay yet i will probally put those 4 up sometime in the next month ... BUT buying 12 copies of one game just to resell is just plan stupid. figure up the super smash
12 copies = 60 bucks selling for 10 each = 120 Profit 60 if all 12 sell
say 3 bucks to ship each game and 1-2 bucks each for ebay fees paypal
that would be 4-5 bucks each on top of the 5 they paid so they break even :)
they will take a major hit why
12xPOKEMON STADIUM 2 avg sell 5.50 to 9 so i doubt anyone will do 9.99 open
12 mario tennis avg sell 5- 10 so doubtful once again
dudes going to take a major lost so dont worry about them making a profit

What a jackass loser. This guy pisses me off because it means that someone that really wanted the Arc the Lad collection or one of the Mario 64 games loses out.

See, that isn't so bad. But when they totally freaking clean out stores, it's extremely annoying.
For those who didn't look at his other auctions (some of the previous posts allude to them) - he's got 5 pages of game auctions (222 items, with the multple game auctions like the one OP linked counted as 1 of the 222)...
He has the following multi-title auctions: 12 Super Smash Brothers, 9 Mario Kart 64, 3 Mario Party 2, 2 Mario Party 3, 12 Mario Tennis, 2 Paper Mario, 9 Pokemon Stadium, 3 Donkey Kong Country SNES, 4 Scooby Doo N64, 6 Donkey Kong Country 3 SNES
+ a TON of single PS1 games.
Slidecage - I think your math is a bit off - he will make money IF he sells all the copies at $10. He is charging $3 for shipping, which probably only costs $2 including envelope, so take the total as $13 minus $2 shipping, minus another $3 max for ebay/paypal fees, minus $5 spent at GC = profit of $3 for each game. Not much, but it adds up for that many copies.
(EDIT: D'oh! Slidecage, you are right and this guy is a TOTAL moron - he will ship FREE if you bid on any other auction of his as well. So, he's trying to get people to prop up bids on his other auctions and then he will waive the $3 shipping fee. You don't even have to WIN another, just bid on it. Ok, he might get a bit more on some of the other auctions but smart bidders will make small bids on things that sell higher and he has to keep track of all those bids and who gets free shipping and who doesn't - what a hassle. That is just plain stupid. Apparently this guy likes to list on ebay and make many trips to the post office and is just glad to break even for the priviledge of doing so :D)
The PROBLEM is that he probably won't sell all those copies at once and he'll have to relist, making it not worthwhile at all. If anything, by listing all those copies at once he depresses the price he would get if he did them individually over a longer period of time. Stupid...

I've looked at his stuff and I have no idea how he is even making a profit! He's spent around $100+ just on listing fees alone. If he bought these games at $5 + tax, he may not even break even. Most of his auctions look like they'll be $5 or less. He even offers free shipping if you bid on another item (easy enough). I think he's going to lose money on this. Which is just as well, as maybe it'll teach him a lesson. No doubt those are GC N64 carts (with their price tag on them). I can't imagine clearing a store out of all their games like that.

I think every GameCrazy I've been to (about 8-9 total) after last Thursday was completely wiped out of any N64 game with Mario in the title. I thought it was somewhat humorous as dealers really aren't going to make a lot of money off of these games. It's amazing the games I found after the dealers had already come through and "cleaned" out the stores.

Stupid hoarders stealing my Super Puzzle Fighter II.
Yesterday, I noticed that new copies of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (PS1) were available on eBay for $25-30, including shipping. Is this the normal price for it, or did sellers suddenly come upon new stock? I thought the average going price was higher. If it's a temporary dip in price because of increased supply, I'd better get it now, but if not, I'll wait on it.

I got it for $40 new with a strategy guide a little less than a year ago. Seemed like used copies were going for like $30-35.
I'd hop on it, $30 is totally worth it for Puzzle Fighter!

It's people like that that make me want to punch them. They grab up the copies and then sell them for a lot more, even though they never play them.
This is why I'm thinking of bringing a baseball bat to CC when or if they have their $5 games sale again this year. That way I get some decent games to play for $5.

Well, bid on this guys auctions then - you can probably get many of them for less than he paid, plus get free shipping! Seems like not such a bad deal, really. At least you know the games are legit since they came from Gamecrazy.
The PROBLEM is that he probably won't sell all those copies at once and he'll have to relist, making it not worthwhile at all. If anything, by listing all those copies at once he depresses the price he would get if he did them individually over a longer period of time. Stupid...
He should have waited a month before selling off the games slowly. He isn't maximizing his profits and by going about it the way he has some people who know about the GC sale will feel resentment. I would not be surprised if a few of the bids on his items are fake bids from people who do not intend to pay.

I am pretty sure this guys works at GC and believe he took some games I had on hold. Look at the amount of stuff he has listed. Alot of that stuff was at those stores when I went the day before and put some stuff on hold. He's not going to make anything off of most of the stuff he has listed. What an ass.

If you can get some proof, perhaps a call to area management is in order?

All hatred for hoarders aside, this is probably the best time to buy some of the games you missed out on from the sale. I might pick up a couple of games, but I'll try to identify the nonhoarders and buy from them. Of course, it's much easier in this case when you forget to remove the price sticker.

well, he is from San Antonio, so if anyone here is local, they could call some of the Gamecrazys in the area to report suspected supicious employee activity.
