View Full Version : How's the WOW factor doing???
I think the whole WOW factor of the PSP is over for me. I'm sure once the newer games start coming out I will be more into it again but as of right now nothing is really jumping out at me. Anyone feeling the same?

I've sorta got that feeling as well. However, I'm still excited to see MVP baseball and Madden 06 football. I'm still ineterested in the system.

hehe I went through this a few months ago, since I imported it. I was wondering how long it would take for you guys to hit this period.

the WOW factor has been wearing out for me as well. i just wished that some of the good games that i am looking forward to (gta & gran turismo 4) didn't get pushed back so far. i also wish that some new application like a web browser or some pda features would come up.

It wore off a week ago for me. Havnt played mine since then. I have 3 games, and none are near completion. Im definately wondering why i bought it, since there are very few games on the horizon i want.
It was an impulse buy, and a spendy one at that.

Someone should figure out a way to put a game like WOW on this. That would rock.
I beat Untold Legends a week ago and have been playing Lumines some but I have been playing more DS lately since I got loads more games for it.
As for WoW factor. Not so much... it would be diffrent if there were some killer games on it. I get my one gig card next week from Dell so maybe I can get some use out of this system yet.

I got my WOW factor only the first two days after launch of having it. I was very impressed, but only felt like I was playing my playstation. I only got it for Lumines (not to mention I paid nothing at all for the system). Overall, I am still gawking at the fun to be had on my DS and wow stuff on that (mainly nintendogs).
I own 3 games on my PSP and can say one of the few ways sony can make the wow come back is to add a totally customizable menu or download games onto my stick (or at least some emulators and roms).

WOW I can't believe that you are tired of the system already! I've been playing it non-stop since I got it and still haven't lost the wow feeling. From the gameplay and graphics of wipeout and ridge racer to the ability to encode and watch movies & listen to music, this system has really kept me busy. I still have about 10% to go on wipeout and im only just starting ridge racer. Those along with Hot Shots coming out this week will hold me over until GTA comes out.
I do wish that memory prices would start to drop, or at least some B&M stores would start selling them for online prices.
I am excitied for Hot Shots as I pre-ordered it but so far everything is just a copy of its big brother (PS2) counterpart. I am hoping that games like Prince of Persia are not direct ports or stripped down versions of the console versions. I want to see more games like Death Jr. and different rather than the same.

It will be nice when the UMD movies start to take off. I can't justify paying $22-$27 for House of Flying Daggers on a UMD. The recent news that more and more studios will be releasing in UMD is exciting.

I really doubt UMD movie will ever take off.... when DVD's are cheaper, & you get a portible DVD for $100-$150 online now...
