Wow.
Everything that smacks of eastern religion/occultism/wicca/etc (meditation, astral projection, animal familiars...) is all bundled up into that old christian bogeyman - the demonization of Set/Pan known as satan.
And where are these underground organized satanists getting all their money (there must be some Exxon oil execs in the mix because I know that Limp Bizkit concert proceedings aren't paying the bills)

Neither hilarious nor offensive... but it IS stupid. Caught half an episode and, speaking as a somewhat Catholic, it's plain stupid. The story seemed cliched and the premise was hokey at best. I felt like I was watching 'The Core' again but with religious overtones.

I started watching because, despite my atheistic views, I find these sort of demonic boogeyman stories entertaining like the Exorcist. But Revelations is just hilarious. I knew it was over the top when they showed the doctors hovering like vultures to harvest the coma girl's organs. Yeah, real doctors would be that eager to pull the plug on a comatose girl who is speaking in Latin and drawing maps.
Now I watch just to see how far they will go to demonize science, non-christians and liberals. It's the same reason I watch Fox News. :)

I liked the story better with Arnold playing the lead, can't rememer the name of the movie.
But yeah, can't have Jesus2 without some demon ass-kicking.

I choose neither. Its a tv show being produced for entertainment purposes. I don't think there is any real point they are trying to make. The producers are just trying to make it enjoyable to the viewers.

It all comes out of Catholic wallets ... keep your friends close and your enemies closer!

If they showed priests being tempted by satan to assault little boys, christian boycotts would spring up immediately.
Much easier to attack non-mainstream spiritual exercises such as meditation and yoga as satanic.
If you don't find at least some of the scenes funny (the fed prisoners meditating in their cells springs to mind) then I don't know what to say, man.

I really like the show. I have been drawn to religious based shows after reading the Da Vinci Code. I have seen all of the eps and I have to say the fourth was by far the best. It really picked up and there was more action. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens tonight. Fred Durst is doing a surprisingly good job as a satanic cult member.

But they are satanic. Aren't they?
By not accepting God, aren't they tacitly accepting Satan?
Anyway, I haven't seen it, and I wont until they start airing it on PAX.

Not accepting God doesn't automatically make you a satanist, you may be an agnostic which means you don't believe in any God, until someone proves if to you. As far as the show, its good and I think you will enjoy it when you get a chance to watch. It is replayed a lot on Sci Fi and Bravo, you might want to check there.

*Bump
The finale is tonight. I can't wait to see what happens. Any predictions? I wonder if this will be the end of the world or whether this will be the birth of the antichrist.

I kinda lost interest in this mini-series after watching first 3 episodes. It just didn't catch my interest. I didn't watch last 2 weeks and I don't think I will watch tonight's episode either.

Why, why, why...
Why do you subject yourself to this? It is obvious, by your many anti-God posts, that you can't stand the Christian theology. WE GET IT!!!! MOVE ON!!!!!
It seems by your posts that you can't contribute anything positive to a conversation. People enjoy different things than you. Accept the truth that not everyone believes like you. Quit trying to pander your (dis) belief on everyone else.
Just as you don't like Christians hounding you, we don't like you hounding us. How are you any different than some Bible thumper?? You're thumping your own thought instead of a Bible.
Enough is enough. Move on...

Possible Spoiler Alert:
So I watched the finale and that was a steaming load. I was expecting some sort of resolution but the only thing that happened was he saved his son. Most, if not all, of the Satanists are still alive. The Antichrist was born and whisked away. Are they trying to push this as a possible series? That's the only reason I can think of to leave it so open. I did like the guy playing the main satanist (I forget his name) - he had the right mix of cool, cocky and evil charisma.
So what did we learn? - all scientists are dumb, all prisoners are only one sermon away from worshipping Satan, and doctors are evil.
I watched it for the mythology (which I enjoy like the part about the Antichrist always following in the shadow of Christ) but the biggest sin of this show was the crap ending.
At least it kept Fred Durst out of the recording studio for a while.

That is strange. I really liked the finale. They definitely left the door open for a continued story, but I thought it came together well at the end. All in all a good series.
