Suikoden 4 Memory Card Converting

Does anybody know if Suikoden 4 will have the ability to convert your data from Suikoden 3? A friend that has never played the series (and refuses to for some reason) told me that it will not have that option. I really don't trust him, but I can't find any info on the web that talks about that feature. Do any of you guys know?

If they went through all the trouble to make the Suikoden II save data compatible with Suikoden III, I don't see why they wouldn't include the feature when III & IV are on the same system. Then again IV takes place long before I-III, so who knows.

Obviously your friend, then, is the world authority on the series.

P.S. Does it really matter? Let's wait until there's an actual game to evaluate. Or are you just trying to figure out if you can delete your S3 save or if you might need it later?

I think he said he got that info from an EGM. I think he's full of crap, but he swears it's true.

It doesn't seem like their will be many returning charathers since it takes place 150 years before the first one. So their won't be much to convert I would think.

I'll keep my Suikoden 3 save, that's not the problem. I was just curious if anyone had heard anything about it. But it sounds just like a nasty rumor.

Yea i read in EGM also that there wont be the memory card saving thing for this one.

Yeah, seems to be true that there won't be any data importing in IV. Which is a shame, because it's been a fun little extra throughout the series.

So it's set 150 prior to the first game? Big deal. There could be a prophecy mentioning something. Yes, yes, I'm grasping, but I wish they'd work in SOMETHING for this. It's...it's tradition!

I'm like 5 hours into Suikoden 3 and it's SOOOO BORING! Please tell me gets better - I've never played a Suikoden game before - but the combat is really pretty boring and there's so much pointless running back and forth so far...

stick with it. the story gets better the more you play. also, looking for all 108 stars is fun.

if you can get your hands on the 2nd or 1st game, those 2 are much better, imo.

I think S3 is more fun if you've played S1 & S2 first. I loved all three of em' but the 2nd one was the best.

True, but they did introduce some intresting characters like Edge, Watari, and Wan Fu (I always like the drunks)

It's pretty much like that the whole game. The storyline does get better, but the combat and running around is so repetitive.
