Been an interesting baseball season so far. It seems my Sox have stabilized but the Yanks are still in a tail spin. Despite what was said in the hot stove topic it seems Matt Clement is off to a good start for us. I knew some run support and a good catcher is all he needed

yeah its awesome, Im and A's and Brewers fan, born in Milwaukee, raised in the Bay. And I love to see the Yanks lose like this, i just want a small market team to win it all this year. GO A's. Oh and all of you who doubted the A's young pitchers were wrong, they are kicking some major ass, its the fucking offense that sucks.

hey not my fault, i never cared for this "investment"

personally i think he used steroids. All too odd how the guy is a 20 homerun guy and all the sudden hes a 48. like im supposed to believe he magically "came around" in one year after being a huge disappointment his entire career.

You want pain my friends? Try being a Giants fan. Are bullpen has the bottom 5 in ERA. We give up like 2401832093281 runs by them. We don't have the best offensive hitter in the league in are lineup. Are closer who we paid massive dollars is out for probably the season add that to a rough starting schedule and the fact that are lineup somehow produces but looks like a free agent waiver wire. Still i'll take being 1 game over 500.....

I am a sox fan, and with all the injuries (schilling, wells, miller for the starting staff, manny rameriez, johnny damon and edgar renteria for the offensive players have been playing hurt or recently injuried) They have done very well. As for the poster about clement, yes he has pitched fairly well, but if we have our full staff healthy, he would not be a playoff starting pitcher for me. I like Arroyo, and would go with him over clement.

It has been great as a Boston fan seeing the demise of the yanks. Baltimore looks good, and yes their pitching is young, but they have great stuff. I do feel the Blue Jays are playing far above their talent, and will fall out of the race by the All Star break

Giants fan here also. Bullpen sucks, lots of old timers and washed up relievers. We can never hold the lead in the later innings. What the hell happened to our starting rotation? Lowry- I have high expectations of this guy winning many games this season. Schmidt- he doesn't have the same kind of stuff from last year. I also don't like Alou's "tactics," having a hot hitter for game 1, next day he benches him for game 2. But, it's still early in the season so who knows. Go giants!

Any other Orioles fans here? Its too bad we wasted a big comeback today, but at least its always exciting even when your pitching isn't so good. I think their pitching will continue to be better than most people are giving them credit for, Ray Miller has done a nice job so far. I don't like the trade rumors I'm hearing about Erik Bedard in a possible deal for a top of the line starter, I think he could be good for several years. At least we're off to a solid start, and really all the O's need to do this year is improve their record against the Yankees and interleague games, and so far they have done the job taking 5/6 from the Yanks. They already had a winning record against Boston last year, and I think this year's team is even better. Hopefully they can hang at the top of the East all season and knock either NY or Boston out. So far so good.

These last 10 games of the season should be good. I would love to see the Yanks and Sox tied going into their final regular season game on Oct. 2.

Looks like there's also good races going in the AL West and AL Central, while St Louis has already clinched the NL Central (No Suprise there).

Atlanta isn't worth the time to talk about just for the fact they win there division every year for like the last 16 and they have only won the World Series once. It's nice that they win all the time but they suck when it comes to playoff time.

I'm actually a big fan of Bonds and always have been. I can't say that I thought (or even think) that he is 100% clean, but even if he's not, he is damn good. I don't care what anyone says. You still have to have skill to do what he can do. If roids automatically turned you into Barry Bonds, I can safely say more guys would do it.

Ive been keeping track of all the games the last few weeks and....things are getting fucking wild!!! The yankees have finally taken a full game lead for the division, since July 18th. Also with the indians beating on the white sox, they are no longer just racing for wild card, they can take the division!

Here is how it breaks down, the yankees have 3 games with the blue jays, 4 with baltimore, and then 3 with boston. Boston has 3 vs baltimore, 4 vs blue jays and 3 with the yankees. Things are looking VERY tight, with that last 3 game series, most likely determining the division(i doubt either will fall more than 3 games behind since they are both facing blue jays and baltimore).

On the other hand, we have almost a mirror image, with White Sox and Indians. Both are playing the last 3 games against each other as well, which could very much determine the division.

NOW HERES THE BIG DEAL!!!! 2 Divisions with 2 teams battling to win the division title. Only thing is, there is only 1 wild card spot! Meaning, not only will 1/2 teams who dont win the division title not get 1st place in the division, they wont even make it to the playoffs!

As the wild card standings are now, boston is 1.5 games behind the indians. If they fail to take first place back(which they have held for most the season), they wont even make it to the play offs(oh man i would love this). However, these last 10 games are very crucial to all teams, every game could mean the playoffs.

Cant forget key injurys to all these teams as well(mussina just getting back, shef as DH, folke out for the season).

All i can say, is these last few games of the seaons have been more exciting than the playoffs for most of the years that ive watched baseball.

HAFNER FOR MVP. I think all the indians need to be a powerhouse in the league again is get a first basemen and get casey blake on the bench. We need one more homerun dinger and i just dont see that in Victor. Hes a great hitter but not a basher. I want to go to the saturday indians game verse the whitesox but already have tickets to see the foo fighters and weezer so bad for me. I think Tampa Bay could be dangerous also. Its hard to ignore David Ortiz's 46HR and 140RBI. He leads the AL in HR, RBI, runs scored, and slugging percentage. He can seal the deal these last 9 games by leading the team to the division title, but he won't win if they miss the playoffs.

Don't worry, Saturday and Sunday are both sold out, as are the tickets for possible ALDS games 1 and 2 (Game 2 I've got a pair of tickets to :bouncy: )

Will Hafner get his 7th game in a row or is he going to fall one short of the club record set by Thome? Either way, I still don't think he'd deserve to be MVP. He's had a great season, but there have been other guys with better seasons.

He hit a 3 run home run today, in a game they almost won(lost in the 9th inning).

things keep getting wild. The yankees and red sox are now both tied for first with one last series before facing each other. Unless 1 of the 2 teams get swept by the Baltimore or Toronto, then that last series will be a VERY big one, determing who gets the title.

Indians seem to be losing their edge though, now only .5 ahead of both the red sox and yankees and down to 2.5 games behind the White sox, they have their work cut out for them. They have 3 games left against the Devil Rays, which should determine if those last 3 games vs the white sox are for the division, or for the wild card itself. If they had won today things would look much brighter, although only losing 3 of your last 20 games is quite a feat in itself.

The Braves clinched their division last night for the 14th straight time. Talk about dominating a division!

The AL East race is still going strong. The Yankees and Red Sox are still tied with 5 left. I can't wait for that final series between them. They are both tied with Cleveland for the wild card spot, which ups the ante even further.

Not there yet buddy... but I am pulling for them, I like teams like that, go out and give you 110% every night, good young players with raw talent playing hard, makes for an entertaining game

and no way on the Bonds MVP thing, what are you thinking? The Giants aren't in that race because Bonds came back with 3 weeks to play and hits a few balls out, the Giants are in it cuz they played well enough just to stick around while the Padres fell flat on their face... and I still think Pujols should be the NL MVP as much as I don't like him, but Jones will probably get it
